Do I Look Like a Fighter?

I waited until Josh's car was gone before walking out of the house. Should I go into the city or the forest? I mean, the city has police, but that's too predictable. The forest. I sprinted through to get as far away as possible.

"Hey! Are you training too?" I heard after gaining some distance. I looked behind to see an extremely muscular man in orange gi. His hair was... something? It was black and went in all directions. He looks strong enough to be protection from Josh, I'll befriend him as long as he isn't like him.

"No, I'm just... long story," I said, not feeling enough courage to tell him about Josh. I wasn't afraid of this man, but I was afraid of what would happen if I told someone what Josh had done to me.

"Did you get into a fight? Did you win?" he asked innocently.

I chuckled and he tilted his head. "Do I really look like a fighter to you?" I said.

"Well then, who did that to you?" he asked.

"I really don't want to talk about it," I said.

"But somebody hurt you we have to do something!" he said.

"I don't even know who you are! Why would I tell you?" I said loudly.

"Well. I'm Goku, what's your name?" he said.

"I'm-" I said before getting cut off by a familiar yell.

"(Y/N)!" Josh yelled. He found me...

"He did it, didn't he?" Goku asked. I just nodded. If Josh heard me ratting him out, it would be lights out for me.

"I missed you so much! Did you get lost in the woods? Don't scare me like that!" Josh said, pretending to care about me. I didn't know what to do in this situation, no matter what I do, I will get hurt. Well... if I stay, he could hurt Goku, and I couldn't take being responsible for someone else's injury.

"I-I should go," I said, starting to walk away. Goku threw his arm in front of me, keeping me from going to Josh. This was it, Josh was going to figure it out. I was dead meat.

"Why would you hurt her if you miss her so much?" he said. Goku you idiot! He's going to kill you!

"You're right," Josh said starting to reach into his jacket pocket. I began to back away. He has a gun. "Maybe I don't care about her. It's just a shame that she was dumb enough to tell you." BANG.

Nothing hit me. I opened my eyes to see Goku's hand in front of my face. "Y-you caught the bullet!" Josh said. He sounded genuinely afraid. I would be too, but it's not like Josh to be afraid.

"I think it's best that you leave before you get yourself hurt," Goku said. Josh ran off. I'm safe... finally.

"Thank you!" I said while hugging him.

"Don't thank me, I could do that in my sleep," he said. What was he?
