The sunlight filtered through Etelä Vihreämaa as Kaylin walked through the dense forest where houses were built in the trees. His hands dangled loosely at his sides slightly brushing the hilt of his daggger as he walked.
"Good morning Demante!" Sperantia greeted as she walked to Lamberto Yegor's tailor parlor with newly woven cloth from Etelä Kristalli, the only part that wasn't taken under seig. Many soldiers left their childeren behind, causing their daughter to find their own means of gaining Raha, the main form of currency in Feagion. Unfortunatly for the ladies is that there wasn't a lot of jobs available unless they had somebody they could train under, otherwise they would have to find less morally right way to feed their families. Kaylin's hands twitched slightly when she greeted him before he relaxed and gave a cold, gruff greeting of his own. His forest green eyes no longer sparkled with the childish gleam they once held. Though his grass colored vest over his brown tunic brought out their color, the dull, drained hue tended to make others weary of him. That is if the jagged, purple scar that dragged from his temple to his cheek did not. Kaylin continued on his way toward his talo, climbing up the circling stair that led to the centeral housing district of Etelä Vihreämaa. People parted as he passed, making way for thier town's very own legend. They didn't respect him. Not with what they had heard he did. They feared him. They feared what he had done even though he fought for them. Kaylin risked his life for them and now they call him the Vaporizer. The Destroyer. The Killer.
Entering his small Talo he retched at the sight of his brother. The remains of a bloodied corpse on the stained wooden floor.
"No." Kaylin croaked. His brother may have faught every day of their lives but he didn't deserve this. Crawling over to the body still warm Kaylin checked for any sign of life. anything to save his little brother. Anything to save Jeliken. His hands very quickly covered in his brorthers blood as he searched for a life beat. A breath, but there was nothing, and nothing Kaylin could do. Shouts of the Poliisi sounded in the distance. The clattering of their swords and the horn declaring that something horrible had happened. With the commotion outside Kaylin knew that he had to leave. With the stories about him, with his reputaion there was no way that the Poliisi would listen to him. As quick as he could Kaylin washed the blood from his hands and grabbed what he would need; his weapons, food, and clothes. But he could only carry so much and run so fast at a time. He was strong but he wasn't superhuman, technically he wasn't even human. Kaylin took the darkened streets, hidden by the sunset, cursing to himself when he hit a dead end. Seeing that his options of travel were low he fought his morals and ran in the direction of the stables.
"U ime predaka molim te oprosti mi." Kaylin prayed under his breath as he stole the healthiest looking horse from the stable. Mounting it he quickly took off, shadowed by the thick trees and the falling sun.
