Chapter 5 - Meeting Jason

Even though I search through the house five times it's impossible to find Sienna and Emily. I want to go home so bad, but I'm not in the mood to search through the house a sixth time, so I just go and sit in my car. Home they're hopefully still sober enough to remember how my car looks and manage to walk here on their own when they want to go home. In the meantime I'll just sit here, in my car, and listen to my Taylor Swift CD.

The knock on the window wakes me up from my, involuntarily, nap.

“Hey! Is she your friend?” a random guy I've never met before is pointing at Sienna.

I get out of my car.

“Yes,”

The guy, that actually is really hot, is supporting most of Sienna’s weight while she is leaning on him. I quickly open the door to the backseat, and the guy help Sienna in.

“Thanks,” I say to the boy and smile at him.

“I'm Jason,” he says and shake my hand.

“Bree,” I take his hand.

Emily still isn’t here, and with Sienna drunk and half asleep in my car, there's no way I can go into the house and look for her.

“Thanks for helping her,” I finally manage to say something.

“Oh, no problem,” Jason answer and leans against the hood of my car.

Good it seems like he's planning to stay for a while.

“So, how did you and Sienna meet?” even though it might not be the smartest question to ask, I can't come up with something else to say.

“I'm kind of her boyfriend,” he almost whispers.

“WHAT?”

I had no idea that Sienna was dating someone. And yet there's this boy standing here beside me claiming that he is her boyfriend.

“When did this happen?” I ask confused.

After a little while he answers.

“A couple of weeks ago. Didn't you know? I thought you girls told each other everything.”

“No, I didn't know.”

None of us can come up with something to say, so we just stand there in silence. I check my cell phone, it's almost one, which mean we've been here for almost five hours. I don’t understand why Emily still isn’t back. If she have been dancing for the last five hours she's probably exhausted. Maybe she has already gone home. She could have gone home with some boy, even though I doubt it. Emily isn't really the type that does things spontaneously, she like to have control.

I stare at the house and sigh. I really wish she could come out so I can go home. She could at least give me some sort of message, so I could where she is.

“Is something wrong?” Jason probably noticed that I have looked at the house many times.

“No, I'm just hoping my other friend will come out of there soon so I can go home” I keep staring at the house as I speak.

“Oh,” is Jason's only response and we keep standing by the car.

I don’t know how long we've been waiting for Emily, but when I'm starting to get cold, I see someone coming towards us. Hallelujah! It's Emily. She is capable of walking in a straight line towards us, so I'm guessing she's sober. When she gets closer, Jason steps away from the hood and closer to me.

“Can you tell her to call me?” he asks and turn his head towards Sienna.

“Sure,” I say and smile to myself.

Sienna's secret boyfriend leave and when Emily comes up to the car I just get in and start driving. If she wants to tell me about her night she will, but I'm too tired to ask.

I drive to Sienna's house first, because I need Emily’s help with waking her up and get her into the house. It takes a while, but we finally manage to get her out of my car and in to her house.

After I drop Emily off, I go straight home and to bed. I fall asleep the second my head touches my pillow.
