His smirk transformed into a tight-lipped smile as he fished out his keys. He dangled it before you. "I guess I'm your new neighbor then," he teased, inserting one of the keys into the mailbox next to yours. You smiled and extended an arm for a hand shake. "Welcome to the building! I'm Y/N." He took your hand gladly, his skin felt oddly cold against yours.

"Nice to meet you, Y/N. I'm Garrett." Instead of shaking your hand, he brought your hand closer to his lips, leaving a soft peck on your knuckles, all the while his eyes stared intently back at you. You felt a shiver ran down your spine when his lips came in contact with your skin. You pulled away almost immediately and chuckled awkwardly.

"Well... I er... better get going. It's pretty late anyway, and I'm beat," you mumbled quickly, retrieving your mail and shut the mailbox in one swift motion. "It's nice to finally meet you, Garrett. Good night," you gave him a quick nod and refrained yourself from running up the stairs. You could still feel his eyes on you, and when you finally reached your apartment, your hands were shaking from adrenaline as they struggled to unlock the front door. You kept looking back for any sign of Garrett, and as the sound of footsteps grew louder, you unlocked the door, and slammed it shut behind you, securing all the locks. You let out a sigh of relief. You weren't sure why you felt so jittery all of a sudden, but that kiss on your hand which you were rubbing the spot mindlessly now, that kiss, started a whirlwind in your mind. You were attracted to him, that you were certain of. It was difficult not to, and it was that instant attraction and kiss that freaked you out.

Ronan the Accuser (Guardians of the Galaxy): You were on the roof of your apartment building with a blanket in one hand and a thermal flask in another. You had been reading all about the Leonid meteor shower which was said to take place between 2 to 4 am, and you were determined to spot a few of these shooting stars. So, you had it all figured out. You laid the blanket on the ground, pretty much in the middle of the empty rooftop, and lay down. You glanced up at the almost pitch black sky,  in awe with the clarity of the view tonight. Stars were sprinkled all across the black canvas, twinkling back at you. You were about an hour early, but you didn't mind. It was a Sunday tomorrow, so you could sleep in. You folded your arms behind your head, and observed the sky contently. With the cool breeze blowing past you, you wondered why didn't you do this more often.

As it hit 3am, your patience began to waver. You hadn't spotted a thing so far, and your eyes were threatening to close. It was then when the door leading to the rooftop opened with a loud squeak. The sound startled you and you sat up immediately, turning your attention to the direction of the door. A tall, built man with a telescope in one hand stared right back at you, equally surprised.

"You're here for the meteor shower too?" he shouted across.

"Yea!"

He smiled and walked towards you. You got up from the ground, dusting the back of your sweatpants, and straightening your sweater. He set the telescope on the ground next to your blanket. "Hi," he smiled, extending a hand. "I'm Ronan."

"Y/N," you took his hand which made yours looked small in his grasp.

"Spotted any yet?" he asked. You shook your head, disappointed.

"No worries. The peak hour for it is in about...," he checked his watch. "Fifteen minutes," he muttered matter-of-factly. You nodded, puzzled by his presence and identity. He was wearing a navy blue dress shirt tucked into a pair of jeans. You watched him peered through the telescope, turning the knobs as he adjusted the focus.

"Are you a stargazing enthusiast?" you asked, breaking the silence.

He turned his gaze to you, standing straight. "Kinda. I work for NASA," he replied, the pride in his voice was unmistakable.

"That's really cool," you admitted. The two of you chatted about his job and your interest in stars and meteors. He taught you about the various planets and constellations until the sudden bursts of light moving across the sky. You couldn't help but squealed in excitement with each meteor you spotted. With your eyes closed, you made a quick wish, unaware of Ronan's curious stare. You looked small next to him which gave him the urge to pull you in for an embrace.

You spent the night on the roof with Ronan, stargazing and sharing random anecdotes on various topics, unaware of the ticking time, until the first signs of the sun rising. The two of you were lying next to one another on top of your blanket, eyes focused on the sky as you both realized that this was something neither of you could ever recreate again. That this chemistry between the two of you was something neither of you had experienced before.

Roman (Possession): You were at the local bowling alley with a few friends, when you saw Roman. He was occupying the alley next to yours. The fact that he was playing alone was intriguing enough for you. His moody outlook, and the rage he projected into each toss of the bowling ball was evident. He wasn't exactly a pro bowler, and he wasn't exactly doing this leisurely either. So, by the end of his game, you watched him stared at the scoreboard hanging above, a bottle of beer in one hand as he took another swig from it. You had been eyeing him whenever you weren't bowling yourself. It got to the point where your friends were teasing you in whispers, urging you to go talk to him. They knew you had a thing for dark characters, and this guy was the epitome of it. His scrunched up hair style, the soul patch and stubble around his jaw, the tattoo sleeve on his left arm, and ultimately that anger, that moodiness was what drawn you. When he finally vacated from the alley to return the bowling shoes, your friends pushed you towards his direction.

As you stood behind him, wondering what to say, you were taken aback when he turned to you. "What do you want?" he asked in a low voice. His hazel green eyes pierced through you. You stumbled on your words before managing to utter, "Would you like to go get a drink?"

He raised his eyebrows, clearly surprised by your forwardness before his lips curled into a smirk. "Sure." You bit the insides of your lower lip, holding back the grin that was threatening to break out. As Roman turned back to the man behind the counter, you swiveled to catch your friends watching the two of you. You gave them a thumbs up. They grinned toothily and waved goodbye to you.

"What's your number?"

You jumped at the voice, spinning around to find Roman waiting for you to take off the bowling shoes so you could swap them for your normal sneakers. You shook your head slightly and took them off in a hurry, handing it to the staff as you muttered the number. As Roman waited for you to slip on your sneakers, you couldn't help but wondered what just happened over the span of the last couple of minutes. Did you really just asked a stranger out at the bowling alley? It was very unlike you, but so was the relationship that ensued between you and Roman.
