The Room

"Thanks guys, I'm going to miss you some much." I said to my friends, I was trying so hard not to cry.I have known Xavier and Jess for as long as I can remember.And now they were heading off to college and I was going to Egypt! It was going to be tough on all of us, but we were going to make it.We had to,we needed each other.I would be going to an Archaeological dig site as a field assistant and I couldn't wait.I know that you usually have to go to college first and get your bachelors degree,but I had already taken most of my courses online when I was in high school.so now only having a month before I left I was getting the rest of my courses and exams to be ready."We're going to miss you to.Ugh, I told myself I wasn't going to cry! It's so gross." Jess was already balling on my shoulder by the time she was done talking.

Xavier peeled her off of me and gave me a quick hug before putting Jess in the car and driving away.Xavier and Jess had been dating for about 2 years now and they were ecstatic when they found out they could go to college together.Jess was an English genius, she had always know she was good at literature even be for high school.But it wasn't until then that she really got to use her talents.She won every poetry contest, every writing competition and when colleges started looking at her she wasn't even at the top of her game.Yale had finally won her heart after giving her a great scholarship but and she didn't even need financial aid to help cover the rest of the costs. Jess' family wasn't wealthy, but they made do.Her parents were some of the nicest people Iv'e ever met.Xavier was a totally different story.He was filthy rich and has never had to work a day in his life.But he chose to and even though he got a scholarship in football, he din't need it.He had even tried to pay for Jess' tuition to help out but of course she declined.And his parents were like snakes.His mom sold real estate and his dad owned his multi million dollar company.They seem nice at first meeting, that is what they're use to sell products.But as you get to know them and they get more comfortable with you they get real with you.And that is how you know that they don't really give a crap about their kid.All they do is feed and house him,they are never home and could care less what he does as long as it makes them look good.
