Diagon Alley

Jade's POV
(That's Jade but just imagine with blue eyes⬆️!)

Chapter 1 : Summer

I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER!

"Jade! Wake up!" My mum shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
"Fine!" I shouted back. We were going to The Burrow the today and meet the Weasley's and go shopping for my 1st year at Hogwarts and This year it's Alex's 3rd year

Here's a little bit more about me: I'm starting Hogwarts with Ron and My best friends are The Weasley's.

Fred and George are known as the Greatest Prankers in Hogwarts. They said no doubt I will become one too. I'm so excited to see all of my friends today.

My dad, Alfie, works at the Ministry of Magic and my mum, Zoe, works as a bartender at the Leaky Cauldron (convenient, I know).

I struggled (literally) out of bed and got my clothes out. I put on a teal short-sleeved shirt in with black leggings and a blue and white hoodie. I then put some black pumps on my feet and did my hair. *the hair in the photo*.

At The Burrow...

"Jade!" Ron screamed, like a little girl.
"Ronniekins!" I screamed back. I hugged him tightly.
"Jadey!" The twins said together.
"Hi twinies!" I said back and hugged them both.
"How's your summer?" Fred asked.
"Boring," I whispered. They all laughed.

I went into the house (the boys were playing in the fields) and saw Molly coming to up to me.
"Jade, how lovely to see you."
"Hi Molly!" I hugged her.
"You're looking beautiful as usual," she complimented.
"Aw, thanks," I smiled. She smiled back.
"Hello Alex, dear."
"Hi Molly," My brother said.

I went up to the twins and told them what happened over the summer and the prank I pulled on Alex. The were in tears of laughter by the time I had finished.

Molly had announced that we were travelling to Diagon Alley by Floo Powder. We stepped into the fireplace and dropped the grey powder so the green fire would make us turn up in the Alley. We went in the order of: Percy, Fred, George, Ron, Ginny and Molly, Alex and me, and finally Mum and Dad.

Once arrived, I walked in between Fred and George with Ron next to George on my left, Alex next to Fred on my right and the others in front of us.

"What's first, Molly?" I asked.
"Let's get your books first," she answered and I nodded.

Once we got our school books, my parents took me to Gringrotts bank. Yes, it was run by goblins which kind of freaked me out. We got my money and left. Next, they got my uniform fitted. I had to wear white shirt, black tie (that will change to the colours of my house), skirt, jumpers, black flats and robes.

Then something in the letter catch my eye.

'Students may bring if they desire either an owl OR a cat OR a toad.'

I showed Mum and she said:
"Shall we get that next?" I nodded my head wildly and she giggled. Owls were my favourite animals and I always would have like one for myself.

I got a BARN OWL and it's so cute. It's in its cage right now and I decided to call it Perrie. Alex wanted to call it Gary because he thought it was funny but then I told him it was a girl so he had to agree with me. Ha!

"Last thing, Jade, your wand!" Dad announced. I nodded. This was the thing I was looking forward to the most.

"Hello?" I shouted in the shop of Ollivander's. No answer
"Hello?" I repeated and a old man popped around the corner of a shelf full of boxes. I guess he was Mr Ollivander.

"Well hello, Miss Dawson!" He exclaimed, smiling brightly. I gave him a little smile.
"I remember when your father came in here your age and had to try out 5 different wands." He chuckled and my smile grew bigger.

"Try this one," Mr Ollivander said for the 3rd time. I took the wand out of his hand. It was dark brown with twists around the handle. I loved it! Suddenly, the room filled with smoke, a strong wind and a bright light, messing my hair up.

"11 inches, unicorn hair, vine tree," he muttered to himself," of course."
"Sorry, but what does that mean?" I asked, curiously.
"Well, unicorn hair is unique like the animal itself. You mother was a unique witch and so was your father. Vine tree can represent many things. Courage, loyalty, ambition, adventure and so on. And all that," he put his hand on my heart," lies in here." I nodded my head in understanding. He took his hand of my heart and smiled.

"Jade!" I turned around and saw George, Alex and Ron at the door. I showed them my finger as if to say 'one minute'. I bought the wand, thanked Mr Ollivander and left with Alex, Ron and George.

"What?" I finally asked.
"You know you really like Quidditch?" Ron said.
"Yeah."
"Well look at this!" George pointed. I looked to see where he was pointing, which was at a broomstick shop window. I put my hands on the glass with my mouth wide open. I could hear my brother giggling behind my back.

"That's the Nimbus 2000!" I gasped.
"Jade?" I turned around to meet eyes with my dad.
"Yes, Dad?"
"Let's see your wand, then," he said. I gave him my wand out of my pocket and he examined it.

"When I got my wand, I had to tryout 4 others," he laughed. I laughed along with him and sooner or later, it was time to return to The Burrow.

It was time to leave. I hugged Percy and Ron and hugged the twins.

"See you guys tomorrow," I said, hugging Fred and then George.
"Yup! See you then!" George answered.
I smiled at him before hugging Ginny.
"See you tomorrow, Gins," I said.
"I wish I could start this year," she said, sadly.
"Aw, don't worry you will next year." I was going to the train station with Molly because my parents were busing with woo and everything.

We all left The Burrow to home. As soon as I got home, I immediately packed. I had packed some stuff but I had to pack everything else since I got it all.

Then, before I knew it, it was bedtime. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow causing me to dream about the adventure waiting ahead at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
