Jolex's loft

Jo Wilson walks up the five flights of stairs to her semi renovates loft. The elevator had been broken for three months, the air conditioner didn't work and overall it was a crappy place the only thing that didn't make it crappy was sharing it with her boyfriend Alex. She fumbled for her keys slightly out of breath from the walk up. Being a resident left barely anytime to workout. "Ugh crap" she muttered when she couldn't locate her keys in her disorganized purse. She knocked on the door feeling guilty for waking Alex up at 1:00 am. Her surgery had ended early and she didn't want to sleep in a on call room for the third night in a row. A groggy Alex opened the door squinting in the hallway light. "What the heck! Don't you have a key?" He asked. "Yeah I'm sorry I do I got out of surgery early and I wanted to come home" she said. Alex steeped away from the door and got back in bed. He missed Jo when she was at the hospital for such long hours and he really would love more couple time but he remembered being a resident and how surgery was the only thing you have time for. Jo turned on the kitchen light to grab herself a glass of water. "Jeez Jo can't you let me sleep!?!" Said Alex. At the startling anger in his voice Jo dropped the glass. "Are you serious?" Said Alex walking over to her swearing. When he entered the kitchen no was holding her hand covered in blood.  "Oh, Jo I'm sorry. Are you okay?" He asked. Jo turned around crying. "I'm sorry I have no time for us and I'm sorry I lost my keys and woke you up and turned on the lights and I'm sorry I'm such a bad girlfriend to you" she sobbed.  "Jo that's not true. You are the best girlfriend I've ever had. You put up with me all day and don't try and change me and I love you Jo I really love you okay" said Alex. Alex cradled no in his arms and examined her hand. "It's okay. I'll grab a suture kit and fix you up" he said. "I love you Alex" said Jo. "I love you too" said Alex.
