Chapter 1 | Bored + Fun

My 8 year old brother, Toby, had his football and today of all days I had to drag along too. Usually, I stay at home and do homework (I know it's boring) or on very rare occasions, I wait in the car. But today, my dad came to my brother's football game, which was the first time my dad came to watch. As you do, I got quite bored watching and just behind the training/footy ground, is a big area that goes downhill and has trees and lakes, sort of like a 'forest' you could call it. "Mum, Dad, I'm going on an adventure down the hill" I say to my parents who aren't paying attention to me. I wait for a reply but they say nothing, so I decide to go down there anyway.

I get halfway down the hill, stepping and scratching myself on trees and branches, when I decide to stop and take a break. I find a rock and sit down on it.

I 'attempt' to take a tumblr photo, but before I press the button on my phone, I hear a tree snap. I look around cautiously. I see a boy figure heading in my direction, and decide its time to go deeper. I wasn't panicking yet, but just thought that the guy hopefully had the same idea as me.

I hear the footsteps get louder and faster, so I decide to stop quickly and turn around once I feel them close. When this happens, I do my plan and turn around sharply, only to face a gorgeous guy. He has chocolate brown eyes and brown hair swept to the side. Our faces are almost touching and we are both breathing heavily against each other. I'm so close that I smell his cologne. I try to take a step back, but slip on a rock and fall down. The guy comes up and gives me his hand to take. I stand up and start walking down the hill again, continuing my adventure. "Thanks for the help" I say as I continue walking. He runs in front of me and stops me in my tracks. "I'm Chris." He says taking out his hand for me to shake "Georgia" I say shaking his hand "May I join you adventure?" He asks giving me a smirk. I look at him up and down and finally decide on something to say "Yes, but first you need to roll up your jeans. To get scratches. That's what a real adventure is." I say showing him all the scratches I gained from the 30 minute walk I just had. He agrees and we both continue waking.

"Tell me a bit about yourself Chris." I say to him. "I'm an only child, I have a cat, I play the guitar and sing and I'm here to watch my younger cousins football game but got bored so I left. I saw you down here and decided to join you." He says "Interesting." I say. We continue walking and he looks at me for 10 minutes straight, I don't know why. "What do you find so entertaining about my face Chris?" I ask. "I was waiting for you to tell me your story." He says. "I have an 8 year old brother called Toby, I do horse riding and that's pretty much it." I say.

We walk in silence the whole way back...

Decided I needed a break from 'Moving States'. I haven't got any ideas for that and came up with this book, so hopefully I won't have trouble writing new chapters 😂
