Raindrops fell in a murky night sky as her teardrops collapsed with the moment he said,

"....then marry me."

She was stunned and surprised. How he wanted her to marry him despite of all the trouble that had gotten into them. Now the grass they were stepping on, cold breeze that blew their tight clothing, and the very intense game of showing their painall of those were tangible for them as he brushed his hand through the strands of her hair and slipped it afterwards on her face to wipe away tears and before her eyes widened,

"Please marry me, Lira." he repeated.

"Holy crap." Peachy said, closing the book she was reading, "It must be a difficult decision."

The sound of the finished boiling water, she heard.

She stood up from the chair in her living room, walked through the kitchen on her bare foot then reached for the cute pink tea cup at the very top of her drawer near the sink, which was also colored pink. Although her name is Peachy, she still preferred pink color which people can easily tell just by seeing her furniture and other stuff, from the plates and cups, to the curtains on the window and carpets.

Putting in the tea bag to the cup and slowly poured the hot water on it,

"That's the smell, alright." she smelled and exhaled tepidly.

She walked back to where she was reading and sit right back to the chair near it, dropping the tea cup she was holding on table in front. Now staring straight at the book, she reached for it and flipped it back and forth as if she was judging it then her lips drew upside down, she frowned.

She thought the book was alright and probably would get better in the middle remembering how boring and nonsense the beginning was.

She sipped her tea which was perfect for today's weather and looked through the window with the book still on her hand— orange leaves falling, wind that would ruin any hairstyle, and knowing there were people walking around and taking photos as if they were all tourists.

She sincerely smiled and remembered something apparently important but as soon as she realized what had drawn on her lips, she looked away and lied back on her sofa then quickly closed her eyes for a moment. Lolled on her fluffy pillows that comforted her, thinking it was the best feeling she could ever think of since she won't be needing to share it to anyone and sometimes she considered it as an alternative bed too.

Peachy was living alone in an apartment as of lately. She who was independent ever since, worker at a convenient store, paying for her own rent, clothing and food— and other bills. She who rarely visited her family and relatives, and who didn't have much friends.

Left foot up and right leg she was sitting on which she would shift every so often was her daily routine whenever she'd get ready to read another novel, usually after work or on weekends. She scattered few books she just bought yesterday from her last pay check as a gift to herself for working lazily as if she was convincing herself that the only reason she needed to work was to be able to buy a new book. After all, her whole life was like a novel as well.

She took another sip of tea before she opened the book at the top of two other books. "Heed the Siren's Call," she read the title then flipping it back and read the synopsis. The book was about a young barmaid lady who fell in love with a red-haired pirate who she knew for only a while and stole her heart the moment he laughed and introduced himself politely like no other pirate, he who had to go back to the seas after a year of stay at the port and left his so called barmaid lover alone and made her wait for a decade of his coming back which was uncertain.
