chapter one

When you go up to meet a person for the first time what makes you decide to approach them?

Their appearance right?, you can't go up to a person if they send you glares as you walk past them. They need an approachable face preferably calm, smiling and genuinely happy it makes saying 'hello' much easier and your bound to get one in return.

Then comes the introduction of ones self and stating your reasoning of approach, most of the time its to find a way to get to know you better because of a certin attraction which may be a good thing if your looking for a relationship.

But if your looking for something committed than don't come searching in the halls of 'Winston's private'. Your garenteed a break up in the next 48 hours of your relationship and are lucky to get out without an infection. Bounes tip guys use protection.

Oh well not all guys can be like prince charming or a plain gentlemen which would be nice. But unfortunately not everyone is perfect and we can't expect them to be but that doesnt mean we can't help them bring out the best in themselves and thats what got me to where i am now.

Lunch in the cafeteria with Chase Bill the all time player and golden boy, very rich, extremely good looks and also very talented all good besides his personality. Its such a shame that all his features still dont make up for the dry and bland persona he has.

But that's not stoping everyone else from kissing his ass. Because they can't see past his wealth and good looks.

"So why are you here again? ....uh lily", Chase asks with dumb and confused face.

"Its Lilith and i want to get to know you, the real you,the Chase that not everyone see's"

"Why would i tell you of all people the 'real chase'" he laughs slightly in reply

"Because im the only one that thinks there's hope for this generation and also think that maybe there is a better side to you"

His face instantly dropped and his eye brows furrowed.

"Whats wrong with me?" He asks genuinely serious

I stare at him a little longer deciding whether or not to tell him what i really think or continue to do as i planned, which was to approach him and start small talk and build a friendship.But it seems to be taking another turn from what I've planned.

"Nothing!....nothing at all"

And now im curious as to why the sudden mood change mhm.

"Um i think you should go now....people are starting to stare and i don't want this..." he points to me and himself then back to me "to start rumors or ruin my rep. So..."

Raising an eye brow at him, I know thats not the only reason why he's brushing me off or it might because i hit a soft spot but i dont push.

I smile sweetly pick up my tray and move away to my original table where Astrid my friend is seated.

"Ohhh what happened, was he nice, and did he say anything about me" she say's fixing her hair and looking in his direction to see if he's looking our way.

Astrid and i instantly became friends way back in 1st grade when Piper Lazaro asked me why i was so dark i was young so i started crying and Astrid came and slapped Piper and told me my skin was beautiful and that she wish she was the same color. I laughed and told her she had pretty hair she held my had and told me we were going to be the best of friends and we did.

I laugh "No he didn't,and i think that's for the better"

You see Astrid and chase share the same health class and he sits right behind her.To Astrid this is because of fate and their meant to be and i qoute 'Soul mates'.Although i think thats is just plain stupid he hardly notices anyone else besides his friend's, he's so self absorbed. He didnt even remember me and we shared the same classes for 2 years straight and not a single time has he looked my way. I dont want to crush Astrid so i dont say anything about it but i wouldn't normaly encourage this way of thinking but today seems different.

"But he's so beautiful" Astrid says while curling the end of her long brown hair with her fingers

"And thats it..nothing else" i reply bluntly

"Ugh your just way too opinionated for you own good" she sighs
"Why can't we just stare at him in silence"

"No we can't" i half yell half wisper towards her
"Its weird and pointless"

"Pointless!" Astrid gasps putting her hand on her cheast, shes always been dramatic.
"How can you say that we are looking at potential husband here come on!", "what if he looks back at me and we share a magical moment as we stare into each others eyes" she sighs "its fate"

I have to shut this down before its to late.

"No its rubbish" "focus on school, and you know Chase is with Emma Kings there is no way hes gonna leave head cheerleader for president of the science club"

"Oh but i will" enters James winking at Astrid

James was me an Astrid's crush back in thrid grade. We never fought over him we just edmired him from a far.when he came and sat with us one time at lunch and gave his juice box to Astrid i knew i was out of the picture but we all became friends after that and Astrid got over her crush on James a while after we became friends but i don't think James did.

"No one asked you James" Astrid groans

I laugh because she seems to always be in an annoyed mood when james interupts a conversation about Chase.

"Naw sad are we,too bad he doesn't know you" he teases

"Thats what i was trying to tell her" i agree "dont get your hopes up sweetie it will only end badly"

"you two are just jealous that i found my husband and your both single" Astrid says defending herself

"It doesn't count if he's not aware of this this so called relationship that you created" laughs James

I join in the laughter while Astride stares at the both of us. She stands up picks up her bag and tray.

"While you two sit here and joke around im going to get my things for next period"

She turns on her heals and starts to walk off.

"bye" she yells

We wave back to her and we get ready to leave for next period as the bell rings.

"Ill see you after school J" I say.

"Yea see ya" he calls back.

Thank god its friday.
