It all started when I got my job at the medical lab with my childhood friend Mae.
The first few days Mae and I had a little more training because there was a few things we were not taught in med school. After about a week Mae and I finished training and were left alone with our new patients. A few years later Mae and I got a cancer patient.
Many doctors and scientists have waited for a cancer patient for several years, They wanted to test out a new cure that was made. Mae and myself along with some other doctors and scientist were chosen to give the patient the cure and then study him.
Mae and I were worried but we still said yes to this opportunity. We couldn't just let a chance like this slip by.
"I don't feel right about this Stella." Mae told me
"I know but if we succeed just think about all the money we could get!" I replied to Mae with excitement.
"But what if we don't Stella. What if the cure fails! what will happen!" Mae snapped at me
"I don't know Mae but whatever happens we do it together and we always will." I replied to reassure her.
"Fine, but only because we are doing it together." She replied to me
I smiled. Mae hugged me, I hugged her back." Lets get ready we have a big day tomorrow." I told her
We drove home, ate dinner, and went to bed.
