"Do you want anything baby?"

I rolled my eyes and looked at Kenneth then looked back at Sean. Sean rolled his eyes and wandered back to his computer. I looked at Kenneth and he's standing there smiling as if this was the best day of his life.

Bailey:uh..water?
Kenneth:ok, I'll be back.

He pecks my forehead and I hate it when this happens, I know he's my boyfriend and all that but damn, he can be clingy. He nudges Sean with his elbow and Sean turns his face to face him.

Sean:what?
Kenneth:I swear, If you-
Sean:damn ok, I get it, I'm not even doing anything to her.
Kenneth:good.

Kenneth walks out the door and closes it. I look at Sean as he runs his hand down his face and up then runs his hand through his hair.

"What are you reading?"

Sean:school stuff. I can't believe I actually got nominated for school president.
Bailey:are you kidding!? That's amazing!
Sean:not for me. There's already too much school involved things happening in my life.
Bailey:hm..

Kenneth flings the door open with a wide smile. He approaches me with a full glass of water and I sit up.

Bailey:thank you.

I pecked his cheeks then drank the water. I placed the glass on my nightstand as he checked the time.

Kenneth:I need to go babe.
Bailey:that's okay.
Kenneth:I'll be back in..

He checks his watch and looks back at me. He always goes out. Every night. I'm sick of it.

Kenneth:two hours.
Bailey:yeah yeah.
Kenneth:Sean,
Sean:hm?

Sean looks over at Kenneth and raises both eyebrows.

Kenneth:take care of Bailey.. If anything happens-
Sean:I get it man,

Kenneth presses his fist against his left hand. I don't get it.. Why does he have to be lowkey overprotective when he's being fucking obvious?

Kenneth:bye,
Bailey:bye..

He closes the door and I look at Sean who's looking at me too.

Bailey:sorry-
Sean:it's okay, he loves you a lot.

He smiled and looked back at his computer screen. I don't know why, but my relationship with Kenneth feels sort of old. Not trying to be mean but, everything's so cliché now.

Bailey:hey, I need to show you something.
Sean:yeah okay.

He turns his computer off and stands up. I grab his hand and run upstairs to the attic. It smelled like Paint. New Paint. There was un used things scattered all over the place that made it look like someone was hosting a garage sale or something. I opened another door where there was a red ladder that leaded up to the roof top.

Sean:do you really want to go up there?
Bailey:Ken and I do it all the time.

I grab on to the ladder and start climbing as he follows me. I sit on the edge of the roof as he sits down right next to me. His arm is pressing against my arm and he doesn't seem to care but I do.

Bailey:let's watch the sun set.
Sean:I haven't in awhile.
Bailey:same.

He smiled and stared at the sky turning pink then a light shade of orange. I caught myself staring at him for no reason and he looked back at me.

Sean:what's so interesting?
Bailey:uh nothing.

I looked down at my feet trying to hide my flushed face. I bite my lip as I continue to swing my feet around.

"I love watching the sunset with the people I love."

I look back at him and chuckle. I suppose he always thought of me as a younger sister. But not me. He's way more than that to me. I wouldn't be here without him.

Bailey:have you ever.. Thought of someone in a different way then you realized you were wrong?
Sean:uh.. Yeah?

He looked back at me and smiled.

Bailey:like..
Sean:like you.

This is not happening. It's a dream. Or..

Sean:you're a special girl Bailey, I missed you.
Bailey:you did?
Sean:yeah. Ever since you became a "thing" with Kenneth, it all changed.
Bailey:oh I didn't-
Sean:that's okay, now that you're here.

My heart just dropped I felt happy and confused at the same time. I looked down at the floor and bit my lip. A shiver ran down my spine as he chuckled.

Sean:shy?
Bailey:uh.. No..

The sun finally set and the night sky was up. There were so many stars, way too many for the two of us to count. I leaned on his shoulder as he wrapped one arm around me.

Sean:Little sis?
Bailey:yeah?

Before I could even say anything more, I felt his warm breath touch my skin and looked to my left. He fell asleep.

I stared at the stars and looked at him. I un wrapped my flannel that was tied around my waist and put it on top of both of us.

I slowly drifted my way to Dream Land where anything is possible.
