He left you on a summer day that smelled like warm milk. You told him goodbye, but he told you that goodbyes mean forever, he said he would see you again. You knew he was lying. He would leave and never come back. And you really couldn't blame him. He was your one true love though. He was always there to pick you up, bring the shine back to your eyes. He was the one to kiss your lips, tell you that it would be okay. He was the one to wipe your tears away. He showed you light at your darkest hours. He  had once been able to make all of the worlds butterflies migrate to your stomach. With his smooth talk, and his chocolatey brown eyes. But now he seemed to have migrated. And he left you here on your porch. You waited, hoping he would return...but deep down;
you knew he wouldn't.
So now you're here, staring at the porch light flickering.
On.
Off.

Off.
On a summer day;
