I woke to the sound of cracking and the smell of smoke. My ears were ringing, I tightly shut my eyes and breathed in deeply. All the smoke and dust made it incredibly  hard to breathe. I opened my eyes to see the same trees I saw when the plane I was on went down. Then it hit me, flash backs came in like floods. I was on a plane flying to Brazil to meet my grandma, aunt, and my uncle plus his family. The pain was starting to kick in, I was losing blood and adrenaline.

Where was I losing blood? Why was I still on  the ground? I turned my head to look at my left arm. A huge rock had fallen on my arm and was crushing my bone. When I barely moved my body a sharp pain came from my side. I gripped it with my right hand in agony, when I coughed the pain got worse. When I lifted my head to look at my legs, this is what made me want to puke.

My jeans were torn all up and down my leg. The bottom part of my shirt was torn and sticking to the blood on my leg.  Glass was everywhere in the skin, 3 shards were really big and probably touching my bone. My right leg was the worst, after I saw the damage  my vision started to blur. On the calf of my right leg was a huge deep gash.

The gash was allowing muscle to be exposed to infection and debris. I started to hyperventilate and panic. My arm was becoming numb and was bleeding more and more. I didn't care how much it hurt my tears were running like rivers down my face. I turned to my left side and rested my right hand on the rock.

    "One, two, three!"

I shoved my hand onto the large mass all my weight was behind it. When my left arm shifted it barely tore the skin. My face was red and wet from crying, " Come off of my damn arm! ," I screamed. Then I realized I was laying on dirt, and soil! I could just dig around my arm!

Frantically digging I could feel excitement building up inside,my arm was getting loose and the pressure was lifting. Suddenly my arm was free and torn but, my tears weren't sad and terrified, they were immensely happy, joyful, and I'm not going to die tears.

It started to sprinkle rain on the moist dirt. I had barley gotten up and limped myself next to a tree ready to see the injuries. Exanimating myself was scary, every time a new body part hurt you couldn't help think if the injury was going to be worst than the last one. When I was done I went back to the gash on my leg. It was bleeding fast so I ripped my sleeves off to my biceps and wrapped it around my leg. Picking the glass out was hard and painful which didn't help I had no way to dress it. When I leaned my head on the tree it started to get dizzy and I fell right to sleep.
