The friends

The crew

This is my crew Calvin, Tony, and James which is me. We all grew up together in the projects of a small town called the Phoenix. We all went to school, and played sports together. Even though Calvin was the bad one out of the group, we remained close friends. When we were, younger Calvin was always jealous of Tony because he always stayed with money. Tony were like the rich one out the crew, and we were the broke ones. It didn't bother me because more money more problems. Even though he stayed in the projects, he stayed with a lot of money. His dad was an engineer, and he use to send him money every week. His dad and mom was divorced, and he stayed with his step dad, and mom. Out of all the arguments and fights we remained friends.

Even though we were from the projects we didn't ever act like it. We didn't want to be another person from the hood who go to jail or bum off people. Except for Calvin, he would do violent things, like steal from stores, and fight. Tony and I stayed out of trouble, and out of these streets. We always wanted to become lawyers, so that we can get out of the projects and have a better lifestyle. As kids, we always pretended that we were lawyers, and Calvin played the defendant.

Besides were just trying to finish the last week of high school, and graduate. So, that we can start achieving our goals. So, before we finish the last week of our senior year in high school we made a checklist of all the things we had to accomplished to get into a good HBCU college. We wanted to make sure we had all our stuff done before we finish high school. This Saturday is graduation, so you know we must turn up this week.

So, the last week of school started on a Wednesday, because the other two days were a student holiday. We were ready for this week, so we can get these girls at school. You know we was players. Cause the girls liked us because we had the jewelry, beards, and was smart. We had the girls all on us in 11th grade, they told us that they liked our swag. Even though we had the girls, I was the virgin out of the group. I didn't tell my friends because they weren't virgins. I was too nervous, so I lied to them, and said I did. I don't know why I didn't, but now I think I'm ready. I also wanted a girl to like me for me, and not my swag or jewelry.

While waiting for the bus to come, we had to make sure there no dogs coming. In our hood, we had these stray dogs running around chasing people. Suddenly a dog came around the corner running at us. I jumped on somebody car, and they ran towards the other cars. Then Calvin slipped and felled on the ground.

The dog grabbed his pant leg and tore it in half. He was trying to kick the dog, but it still had his pants. Then Tony and I grab some sticks and hit the dog until it ran away. He stands up with his pants shredded, so he decided to go in the house to change into some lounge pants. I knew he wasn't going to school with no tore up pants on. When he came outside the bus pulled up and we jumped on our way to school.

When we got to school and walked in, there was barely anybody there. So, we went to the gym and waited for our other homies to come. Then the students started to come in, they said that some of the buses had roaches on them. They had to stop at the bus station to trade buses. We had a few girls to come talk to us, but they were ugly. So, we just waited to go into class, because I heard we had a new female student.

So, when we walked in class and sat down to take notes, I noticed this new sexy brown skin girl name Asia looking at me. She was the new student, so you know I must get her attention. She was short and thick, and she seems smart, but knowing my friends they made a big deal out of it. They noticed her staring at me. Then they start telling everybody in class that I liked Asia. Then some of the other girls from the gym were jealous, and they started trying to get my attention. I wasn't stand them, and stared back at her biting my lips. I noticed she wasn't staring at me no more after the other girls started talking to her.
