You know the first thing you forget when someone dies, its their tears, their anger, their sadness and everything wrong. Yous only see their smiles, the way their eyes crinkle at the corners, the dimples in their cheeks, the twinkle in their eyes. But even that escapes your memory.
That's the thing. I forgot the them. All of them. But the hole in my heart, it stayed. Ripped wide open for the whole world to see. So, I froze it. I froze it with everyone on the outside. Except for three people who got stuck in the warm, mushy-gushy middle, which no one knows exists.
