So many are against me.
I lay my weapon down,
Yet they still shoot at me.
One by one,
I take each hit.
Little by little,
I shed more tears.
I have not surrendered,
Because I refuse to shoot.
If I shoot,
That will only start war.
War that neither of us want.
If I have to endure this until they accept me,
Then so it shall be.
I will not fight a war that is not needed.
They yell and holler as they shoot me.
I am not the only victim though.
There are many others.
They are also shot,
Some... even die.
This pains me,
To know that their life...
That their life is gone,
All because they weren't straight.
Not because they were a criminal,
But because they were gay.
Because that boy wanted to love another boy!
Because that girl wanted to love another girl!
Why do you hate us?!
We love who we love,
And you love who love!
We don't discriminate you!
We don't!
So,
Why do you treat us this way.
I sorry if I "disgrace" your religion,
All because I love girls and guys.
I'm sorry if I were too inconsiderate,
When I became that I was heteroflexible!
I'm sorry that this makes me happy!
All these boys, girls, guys, gals, men , and women!
They are shot at,
By those who refuse to understand!
We speak out,
And yet we are shot at.
Slowly one by one,
We are taken down!
I'm a lover,
Not a fighter.
That's why we never die!
There are those who understand.
There are those who help.
If they shoot us,
I'll tend to their wounds!
I refuse to fight a war.
I refuse to let them kill anymore!
If I need to speak up,
I will!
I won't let them hurt any other like me!
Because at the end of the day,
We are all human.
There are little difference.
Little things that we tend to exaggerate!
Slowly,
That's the way we'll heal these wounds.
One by one,
Day by day.
I am treated badly,
Because I'm not straight.
That doesn't mean anything though.
We fight, with kindness, compassion, love,
And never hatred.
Because we accept,
We don't shoot like others will..
