Chapter 4: Arguments.

Start from the beginning

Stick my tongue of course.

“We need to buy food and drinks for the class.” Bruce said.

“With her, please. Don’t waste your time with her! She’s just an IMBECILE!” Karl said.

“Don’t be such a fool, Karl. But, you’re just wasting your time here in school. You’re doing nothing.” I said. Bruce and I just went away leaving Karl in the school.

“Karl’s such a weirdo.” I said to Bruce.

“He’s not weird. He cares about you.” He replied.

Oh yeah? He’s really a not-caring boy. He didn’t care about me. When the time I need him, he just runs away. What do you expect more? I thought

“Yes. I know that.” I lied.

After that, we bought a paper bag of chips and a plastic of sodas. I carried the paper bag and he carried the heavier ones. After that, we were walking towards school.

He’s a man. He’s such a kind guy. He’s the kind- I stopped thinking because something distracted me. Bruce elbowed me. “What?” I asked. “Nothing,” Bruce said. “It’s just when we were prep, I had a crush on you. Ahh!  I broke it!”

I giggled. “You know, let’s stop here for a while and talk about this.” Bruce answered. “Ok.”

We found a bench and sat. The bench was just in front of the school. Good thing that no one was disturbing us. I placed the paper bag on the table in front the bench. Bruce put down the plastic and sat beside me.

“I never tried to have a conversation outside of school with a boy.” I said. “Okay, listen. I lied about the lesbian thing. I’m not really lesbian. I just said that so no one can go near me. It was like a shield for-”

“You know you talk too much. Maybe, it’s my turn now.” Bruce said.

“Ok.”

“You were cute before and-”

“Before,”

“Ok. Forget about that and let’s change-”

“Wait. My phone’s vibrating.”

“What does it mean?”

“It means someone’s calling me.”

“Ok. Answer the call.”

I walked out, left Bruce, grabbed my phone and answered it. “Hello?”

Kristina. Where are you? We’ve been waiting for the food.” It was Princess.

We boys are waiting for the drinks!” Vincent said that screamed from a faraway place.

“Ok! We’ll be right there!” I said, put down the phone and went to Bruce.

“What did they say?” Bruce asked. I replied. “They’re waiting for these now. Come on!”

We crossed the street then we reached school. I was walking straight forward until suddenly, someone screamed my name. I looked back and Arvin was running towards us. When I looked at him, he was tired. His sweat dropped, I can hear him catching his breath, his holding his knees, looking down with those glasses. That shirt of him that looked small for him though he’s chubby (which makes him cuter). Then he stood straight up. “So, what are you guys doing?” he said with his voice sweet as if that he was making it obvious that I’m in love with him.

“Arvin, this is serious!” I argued. “Teacher-”

“Teacher let you out just for you guys to have a date?”

“WHAT? I didn’t say anything! You-”

“Krisa,” Bruce grabbed my wrist. “You don’t need to argue.”

He was right. I really don’t need to argue. He just said that in a nice way for me because I love the tones of voice like that. Maybe I must say sorry.

“Sorry Arvin. It’s just that, I don’t want someone-”

“Hey Bruce, is that really necessary, you know, the wrist holding?” Arvin asked Bruce.

“No. I’m just doing this to get her attention.” Bruce answered.

“Oh, so you’re doing this just to get my ATTENTION?” I said. “You know what? I’m out!” Then, I ran straight to the hallway of the ground floor.

“Kristina, wait- well you know what? I’m out too. I need to bring this to our classmates.” He screamed from faraway.

“I don’t care!” I also screamed from faraway. Then, I went up with no one, crying.
