All was well, except for that day.
A young girl, on her 10th birthday. A cake was made, a new dress. A new age.
Friends came from all around, celebrating this day. Her day.
The girl looked around. People are chatting and laughing, something she always wanted to do. But she couldn't.
She looked up at the bright blue sky, the birds singing their familiar songs, and she wondered, wished.
Her cake was made with blue icing, and light pink petals, all around the edges of the white cake. Ten candles were placed with delicate care, flitting about, their flames brightens.
Flickering, flashing, uncontrollable. It spread onto the cake, and on the oak wood table. The flames kept coming, kept spreading, until her whole world was in flames.
She ran. Leaving her happy life behind.
