Stares and Scares

It was the beginning of autumn and school is about to start. A boy named Hunter lays in bed asleep. At 7:00 he wakes up to the loud sound of his alarm clock. Hunter is transgender (female to male). Hunter gets out of bed after putting his alarm on snooze 5 times. He walks to he closet groggy and tired. He puts on a My Chemical Romance band tee along with black ripped skinny jeans and black pleather boots. He puts on all the band merchandise he can. It's the first day and he want to let people get a little taste of what their in for.
Hunter walks a bloc away from his house to start walking to school with his best friend (and only friend) Sam. Sam is a very enthusiastic person, and completely different from Hunter. Once Hunter gets there Sam is already waiting at the door. "I'm so excited for the first day of school!" Sam exclaimed, "Are you excited?" "I could care less." replied Hunter. "You okay?" asked Sam. "Ya I just don't like how people are so quick to judge." "Don't worry I got your back." Sam told Hunter in a sympathetic tone.
It was 7:45 and they just arrived at school. Once the walked into the building all eyes on Hunter. "Why are they all staring at me?" He asked. Sam and didn't reply. The bell rang and the headed to there home room. After looking at there schedules, they soon realized that they were not in the same class. They would only be able to hang out at lunch hour. Hunter walked into class and once again all eyes were on him. He sat down next to a girl name Alex. "What are you wearing?" she asked. Hunter to his phone out and opened his camera to see his reflection. He saw a normal face with a few piercings. He looked at his outfit and thought it was fine. So he just ignored her and put his headphones on as heavy metal started to play the teacher came in. Hunter wasn't paying any attention and just sat there alone. The teacher (Mr. Balcom) started to bring students to the front of the class to introduce themselves. Once Mr. Balcom called his name he freaked. Hunter doesn't like talking in front of people let alone about himself. Hunter walked up to the front of the class, and didn't say a word. "Tell us about yourself Julie." Mr. Balcom said to Hunter. "My name is Julie but please call me Hunter. I like rock and heavy metal." Hunter whispered. "Oh so you the shy type that's okay, go sit back down Julie."
It's now 3:00. The last block of the day, gym. Hunter was put in to the girls gym class, because his mom doesn't want to call her "daughter" a boy. Hunter is biologically a female but would like to be addressed as a male. That's the reason that he his in the girls gym class and people call him Julie.
The bell rings, and instead of heading to Sam's locker before he leaves. Hunter just walks out of school alone. But I soon found a great friend named Nikki and now she is on of my best friends that has always been there for me. Without her I wouldn't be the person I am today.
