The Archer

Chapter 1 the oots

She was in the woods. Karla a strong fearless archer was sitting in a tree waiting for the oots to come. She knew her friends were in the tree behind her and wanted to keep them safe even though Luke could throw an ax or his daggers better than anyone. But Karla still had to be sure.

She heard a noise coming from the ground ahead. She heard leaved rustling and grunting. She knew the oot was coming.

Oots had attacked Karla and her family for as long as she could remember, and after loosing her brother kilo to one of the oots Karla wanted them dead.

She could hear it getting closer, she took an arrow from her quiver and pulled back on her wooden bow that her brother kilo made her before he died. Then the monster walked out. It was this big black lizard looking monster if had huge teeth that stock out of its mouth, and giant spikes that ran from the tip of its head to the end of its tail , it had giant claws that could cut through trees like curing butter, it could kill you with just one single roar, it had a venomous bite that could kill you in minutes.

Karla pulled back her bow and shot it got the oot straight in the heart just as it hit it , Karla put a special clothe that could block out an oots roar. The oots gave out a high pitched scream and fell just as it hit the ground it turned into liquid and then disappeared, Karla never knew where it went but she always knew it was gone. She jumped from the tree branch she was on and landed then ran to the tree house she had made with Luke's help. It was a giant wooden house that sat on the tree that had a ladder and stairs that came from it, there were rope bridges so they could get from tree to tree.

" hey your home early" Luke said from a tree that was connected to one of the rope bridges." Well I didn't want you getting worried " Karla said with a smile on her face. " what happened?" Asked Luke he had a look of worry I his eyes, his eyes were a beautiful really dark brown, he had dark brown hair, and was wearing a brown leather jacket with brown pants, he usually had a dagger in his belt and an ax on his back just for safety. " nothing just remembering what happened that's all" Karla said looking down so Luke could not see her Karla had a hard time looking in his eyes and she didn't know why.

He gave her a hug. She enjoyed his hugs he had just rapped his arms around her and it made Karla feel safe. " where's mom " Karla asked as Luke let go of her. " I don't know the went to go hide and I haven't seen them since" . " well they should be back by now shouldn't they" Karla said with fear in her eyes. Just then they heard screaming from a human not an oot just as she heard that Karla took of to where she heard the scream come from. " Karla don't - " said Luke but it was to late she was already half way there.
