NOTHING AS IT SEEMS

memory is a strange thing its weird to think back on that day it was so long ago my life is better now that it happened let me think back on that week it all started on a Monday when I was on my way to work I turned around and saw a tall man lurking around the cornor watching me I acted like I dident notice when  was a block away from my work I looked back to see if the man was still there and he was he quickly noticed me looking at him and ducked around the cornor I walked into work and told the security man about the man following me he said he would keep an eye out I work in an art gallery in downtown New York and it was summer so it was hot so I left my desk to go around the cornor to get my lunch and water as I was waiting  saw the man so I quickly ordered and went back to work and told the security man he was still there he said ok and that he would keep a closer watch I started to forget about the man as my day went on when it was time to close the gallery I gatherd my things and locked up and started walking home as I was walking home  got the feeling someone was watching me I turned around and saw the same man as this morning only there was another man with him I started to walk faster and so did they I started to jog so did they I started running as fast as I could they were a few feet behind me I reached my front door and quickly unlocked the door I got inside and locked the door I started to calm down ii grabbed a glass of white wine and started on my papers from work after I was done I fell asleep when I woke up that morning I dident think about the men from yesterday I gatherd my things and headed out the door to work on my way to work something strange happened I was walking past the homeless man like everyday and as usual I gave in a doller but when I was walking away he grabbed my arm and said emma please be careful there always watching I dident know what to say so I said thanks and started to walk away again on my walk I couldent help but wonder how he knew my name I soon forgot about it when I got to work the gaured stopped me and said a man stopped and asked for me and asked when I work next he said I dident tell them just wanted to let you know I said thanks and headed for my office about ten minutes to closeing a woman stopped in and asked for me the garued pagged me and said a woman was here to see me I said ok send her back she said hi I'm sarah and I'm here to keep you safe I asked what she ment she said you know the two men you saw yesterday there bad people and the homeless man this morning what he said is true and we work together she said I'm gonna walk you home and stay with you till we figure out a game plane  I said ok just go tell the gaured your an old friend she said ok I will be right back don't go anywhere I said ok when she came back when it was tme to close up she walked home with me and we passed the homeless man he said sarah you found her she said yes sarah looked back looked at the homeless man then at me she said we need to run I asked we why she said look behind I did I saw the man the three of us started running we made it back to my place and locked the door when we got there sarah looked at me and said where here to protect you and get you somewhere safe I asked why there after me and she said because of a panting I sold she said we need to get you out of the state I asked why and she said if I wanted to continue on as normal sarah would have to be with me at all times I aggred and we all went to sleep the next day  found out the homeless mans name is seth and me and sarah headed to work when we got there the garued said my offce was broken into I ran to my office the only thing that was taken was a flash drive that had all my sales douments on it we cleaned up everything and closed up early when we got home seth was there we told hm what happened and he said we need to get you away from here I agreed the next day I was off so all three of us went out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant when we were done eating we got fortune cookies sarahs said don't look forward look back always seths said nothing is as it appers and mine said your lfe is danger say nothing leave the city now and never returne  I showed sarah and seth and then when the waitress came back I showed her she dropped her tray and said we need to leave now LEAVE NOW!!!! so we did we went back to my place and I asked sarah to start packing my stuff m going to quit the gallery and I'm leaving I will move to la so I went and quite and we got my stuff packed in the next to day got plane tickets and all my thngs moved to a safe house in la all in that fast forward 2 years me seth and sarah all settled down in la and were all close my life has change since  moved I work at a new gallery and have a old victorean house with seth and sarah lfe is good that all sssssssshhhhhh ssssshhhhhh don't tell anyone where I am they cant know be safe and live life to the fullest love seth sarah and me emma NOTHNG AS IT SEEMS BY:Abby Erickson
