birthday shanannigans

I'm sorry, this is really long... it's actually not too long aha.

I woke up this morning at 6:30 am, and it's Rachels birthday. I had to get to her house before she woke up. I put on my pajamas, Rachel has a matching pair. I went over to my dresser and grabbed hers, that she left here. I went up stairs and to my surprise mom was on the couch editing, sipping from a coffee mug. "ya leaving bubs?" she whispered. "yep" I said quietly. but something was up and the house seemed extra quite today, and Annie was already up. she was getting ready, but she doesn't have gym until nine o'clock. and mom didn't seem as upbeat as she usually is. but I kept walking... I grabbed the flowers off the counter and got the chocolates out of the pantry, and left. as I walked out of the side door into the garage, something was missing. dads car wasn't in the garage... I know there's something up. I texted Rachels mom to make sure everything was ready. I asked her if I could head over, even though I was already on my way. she replied with a simple yes. I walked in the house very quietly and put down my stuff. I got her some gift cards and other girly things. I silently ran up the stairs and went into Rachels room. she wasn't in bed, I heard sobs coming from the bathroom "Rachel?" I whisper-yelled, I was now very concerned. I ran into the bathroom, to see Rachel on the ground and a little blood puddle around her. "what happened?" I asked with tears forming, thinking something super bad was wrong. "it's so imbarassing to tell you" she said looking at the ceiling, clinching her jaw. "oh Rachel! it's okay I know exactly what it is, and you shouldn't feel ashamed. it's natural and it happens to every girl. it's alright baby, don't cry!" I said trying to comfort her. "it means so much cae, thank you for understanding. I love you" she said with a shaky voice. I smiled "I love you more but I'll be right back" I said. I ran downstairs and out the door, headed to my house. now, no one was home, what is wrong, I'm really confused. I ran inside and went into mom and dads bathroom. I looked under the sink and found some pads, I grabbed them and sprinted back to Rachels. I ran up the stairs and Rachel was now standing up. "here you go" I said handing her the pads. "thank you.. a lot" she said back, blushing. "welcome" i smiled. "now take off your clothes, I'll take them to the laundry room." I said. once she undressed I took all her clothes and threw them into the washer. I grabbed the mop from the hall closet and went back to the bathroom, I cleaned up all the blood and cleaned out the mop, while Rachel was I the shower. she got out and I handed her, her matching pajamas and she threw em on. we laid down on her bed for a while, I thought she might need some rest.  "thank you for all the help Caleb, it means so much" Rachel said breaking the silence. "I'm here for anything you need, and never be embarrassed about something like that, I would never make fun of you" I said reassuring her. "and happy birthday princess" "thanks babe" she said smiling and cuddling me. 

Rachels pov
this morning I woke up having really bad cramps. I knew exactly what it was. I ran to the bathroom, but the pain got so bad, I doubled over. I laid there in a blood puddle hoping no one would see me like this. but of course out of all seven billion people in this world.. guess who found me. yep, Caleb. but he was very understanding and he helped me a lot. I'm glad it was him. he got the whole mess all cleaned up and brought my pjs from his house. he's so perfect.

calebs pov
as me and Rachel were laying there, I got a call from mom.
call conversation
"Caleb?" -Katie
"yeah?" -Caleb
"Hayley has appendicitis and she is gonna be in the hospital for a few days, maybe a week. tell Rachel we are so sorry we couldn't make it to her party! but also pray for hay, she is going into surgery in about ten minutes" -Katie
"we will be praying, tell hay I love her! and I'm sure Rachel will totally understand" -Caleb

Rachels pov
wow what a great start to my birthday. (note sarcasm) first my bloody disaster, now sweet, little hay is in the hospital. I hope my day will somehow get a little better.
"I know what will cheer you up" Caleb said. "what is it cae" I asked excitedly. "c'mon" he said pulling on my arm. I stood up and he lead me down stairs. I saw abunch of cute little presents and other things "awh cal, you know me so well" I said smiling and giving him a big hug. Caleb is literally the sweetest, he bought me abunch of cute little presents for my birthday. "I love you so much" he whispered into my ear and kissing the crook of my neck. I loved the sound of his steady breathing, it was perfect. just like him.

a few friends, a lot of Rachels family, Rachels parents, and me, were the only ones who came to the party. there was still a good amount of people, I think there was about thirty-two, good thing the house is roomy.
I got a text from my mom saying that the doctors said they were going to keep Hayley for another two or three days. but that made me happy, at least I know she will be alright.

Rachels birthday was super fun, the beginning of the day wasn't the best... but it turned out great. I decided I would just stay over at Rachels for the night. Annie was at a friends and I'm sure mom and dad will be staying with hay. me and Rachel got into be and I cuddled up to her like a kid and gave her a quick peck. "moooore" she said quietly "tomorrow" I said sleepily, kissing her on the fore head. "goodnight baby" I said. "good night cae"
