My mother called me Mario Jr. after my father, but he wasn't there to see my birth. He was never there. No one ever told my brother and me what happened to him after he left. The only thing my mother did tell us was when they met and his supposed jobs over the years including, carpenter, construction worker, pro boxing announcer, a racer, a doctor, and many more. I don't understand who he is and what his story is. I've done searches online for him, but everything came up blank or unrelated. The only interesting thing I did find was his name was associated with a military base testing some new coordinating bombs, but I had to hack the site to figure this out. That's another thing. I am a computer and video game nerd. In the 1990's, being a nerd was especially odd. I spent all my spare time playing Sonic the Hedgehog and Metroids. I spent any-any- free time hacking the games into new creations. I was one of the lead ROM hacker in my suburbs. Enough about my manly obsession about morphing games. Now for all of you that don't know, I'm an Italian, but I'm not your ordinary Italian. I don't fall under the stereotype. I'm a hopeless romance, I hate pasta (but I do like pizza), and I'm not fashionable. The most fabulous thing I've worn is overalls and a red t-shirt. Sometimes an orange shirt. I didn't have too many friends except Steven, Luigi, and their girlfriends, Dacy and Tessa. Although, we could never correctly pronounce Luigi's girlfriend's name, it didn't stop us from trying. And with that in mind... We never did correctly pronounce it. It always came out as Daisy. Thus the nickname was conjured up. She was a fine looking lady, but was too tomboyish for me.
Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against independent women. I just like more elegant, polite ladies (Man I sound like a man in the 1880's...). Anyway... Tessa was perfect for my friend Steven. The saying goes, "Opposites attract", but I'd like to object. Steven and Tessa were exactly like each other. It was creepy. The only difference was appearance. Steven wore a red and white baseball cap covering his mop of red hair, while Tessa wore her blonde hair hang out in pigtails.
We were the best of friends. It started in 8th grade and continued until college. That's when our little group split up. Steven and Tessa went to the University of Michigan to study mycology. I forgot to mention. They were nerds. While they studied different types of fungus, I ate mushroom pizza. Daisy got a scholarship into West point, but Luigi didn't have any money or scholarship to go. Daisy was a skilled acrobatic and knew how to play every sport ever. Luigi and I decided to ensue an easy job of plumbing. We quickly got the trademark name, "Super Marino Bros's Plumbing" and created our website. We've read a couple of things and fixed our own plumbing, more times than once, so we put our known talents. We seached to find a school that was cheap and offered classes in plumbing near by. Luckily we found one. Kamek's University. The school was primarily new and we got our college's funds and headed out. Our mother stopped us on the way out and exclaimed, "Before you boys go to sign up, I need to tell you something."
