Hello my lovelies! I hope you're all excited for the sequel of Spells! Again, if you haven't read the first book then please do so before this :) ENJOY!

And please note again, this story does not follow in the lines to any mortal instruments books and it may contain characters who are no longer in the books because this is my story and I will write it how I wish. Thank you.

4 years from the ending of the last book.

Alec screamed in excitement when he heard the front door of the home he shared with his husband Magnus open. He took the stairs two at a time, almost tripping over the rug at the bottom.

Magnus had been away for almost a whole month searching for yet another spell book, Alec missed him terribly when he went on these trips but it made him smile knowing that his husband did this to help others. Magnus had never allowed Alec to come with him, claiming it was "far too dangerous" Alec had argued with him till he was blue in the face but Magnus never gave in.

Alec often wondered why Magnus just didn't portal home in his free time but he wasn't going to question it.

"MAGNUS!" Alec screeched at the top of his lungs as he jumped into the warlocks open arms.

"Hey baby." Magnus nuzzled his nose into his husbands neck and took in his scent.

"Welcome home." Alec grinned and placed a huge kiss on Magnus' lips.

"Thanks baby, now let's say we go upstairs and make up for lost time?" Magnus winked and began to carry Alec up the stairs, leaving his bags at the front door to worry about later.

Alec laid unable to move after the mind blowing orgasm Magnus had just given him, he wasn't sure if sex had gotten better or if he'd just forgotten how good it was in Magnus' absence.

"Come on babe, let's go start on dinner." Magnus spoke after a few minutes.

"Can't we just get takeaway?" Alec groaned and mumbled into the pillow.

"Okay, I'll go get us something." Magnus smiled and leaned down to kiss the back of Alec's neck.

"Alec, wake up." Magnus spoke softly into his sleeping beauty's ear.

Alec rolled to his back and rubbed his eyes sleepily, he had no idea what the time was and thought he must have slept through to the next day.

"What time is it?" Alec yawned.

"It's 8pm and dinner is here." Magnus chuckled, running a hand through Alec's messy black hair.

"What day is it?" Alec asked confused, sitting up right.

"The same day as it was when you fell asleep." Magnus smiled at his confused lovers face.

"Come on, put your clothes on and we'll go down and eat." Magnus smiled, getting up from the bed.

"Can we eat dinner in bed and watch a movie?" Alec gave Magnus that sweet grin he just couldn't resist or say no to.

"Fine, you pick a movie and I'll go plate up the dinner." Magnus chuckled and left the room.

Alec reached over to the bedside table and grabbed the remote, turning on the tv to see what he could find.

By the time Magnus walked back into the bedroom Alec had found a movie and covered the entire bed in various pillows and blankets.

"A slumber party?" Magnus laughed and set Alec's tray of food down on his lap.

"Yes!" Alec giggled and patted the spot next to him.

Magnus removed all clothes but his underwear and climbed into bed next to Alec, placing his own tray of food on his lap.

"So what are we watching?" Magnus asked, shovelling a fork full of pasta into his mouth.

"Napoleon Dynamite." Alec tried not to laugh and pressed play.

"Again? Really? We watched this the night I last went away!" Magnus groaned, throwing his head back into the wall.

"But it's funny!" Alec exclaimed and turned his attention back to the tv.

"Fine." Magnus grumbled and continued to eat his dinner.

When the movie was over Magnus looked next to him to find Alec fast asleep, which didn't surprise him, Alec was never one to stay awake for a whole movie. Magnus remembered taking him to the cinema and finding him asleep on multiple occasions, that's when Magnus gave up on taking him there.

Magnus grabbed the two dinner trays and took them down to the kitchen, washing up could wait for the morning, for now he had work to do.

Magnus collected his new spells books from the floor at the front door where he'd dropped them earlier in Alec's excitement to see him and carried them up to his study. He knew Alec would be upset if he woke to find Magnus gone but this work needed to be done, after all, people paid Magnus to find these spells.

It was 5am when Alec woke up to an empty bed and he just knew Magnus had thrown himself into work, which annoyed him extremely. He hadn't even been home a day and he was already back at it. Alec wanted to spend some quality time with his husband and to wake up next to him every now and then but he knew nothing would change, nothing had changed in 4 years.

Alec got out of bed and marched down the hall to Magnus' study, not caring he was stark naked and pushed the door open roughly.

"Hey baby, why are you up?" Magnus asked, not even looking up from his work.

Alec knew that voice, that was the "I'm going to pretend your not mad and act like nothing's wrong voice" which made Alec even madder.

"Can you fucking stop working for just one day?! I would love the kind of attention you give to those fucking books!!" Alec screeched and pushed a pile of books of the desk.

"Alec, please." Magnus sighed, putting his head in his hands.

"Please what?!" Alec screamed louder.

"Please calm down." Magnus asked calmly, not fuelling Alec's fire anymore.

"Fuck you!" Alec yelled, pushing another pile of books from the desk and storming out the room.

Alec found himself in the bedroom packing his suitcase, he'd had enough and he knew exactly where he wanted to be right now. With his family.
