Felicity was best friends with Luke, Calum and Michael in secondary school as they were in the same form and they protected her from her bullies. But when they get big, they don't see each other in person anymore, until they start a tour in Sydney...
We, Michael, Luke, Calum and I, were all sitting in the music room as Michael and Luke strummed on their guitars, Calum had found a base guitar from somewhere and I was writing down lyrics as they sang them. When they finished the song I handed the lined paper I had torn from Michael's English book, because he hadn't got to the middle yet, not surprising at all to be honest, it's Michael.
"You are just way too out of my limit," Michael sang to himself quietly, "I don't like it, it sounds like we're losers."
"Fine then," I said, "why not change it to, 'You're just a little bit outta my limit' it makes you sound less like the losers you are."
"Why are we friends with her?" Calum asked, "She's so mean."
"She is a good lyricist though," Luke said thoughtfully.
"I'm right here Cal," I said clutching my chest as if I was hurt.
"Yeah, he must have forgotten," Luke said, "since you're so quiet."
"Was that sarcasm, Lukey?" I asked gasping, "that's rude."
"The contradictions!" Michael said laughing, this made Calum laugh for some reason and Luke looked down and chuckled.
"I'm here every day," I said bowing in my seat, "since it's school and I have to be. Let's just be thankful it's Friday." And then the bell rang to ruin my whole day and trap me in IT. We all sighed, put away the instruments and wandered to IT, we all sat down and started talking because IT is a drag and it's annoying as fuck.
"Hood, Hemmings and Lane, stop talking, actually, I have a better idea, Hood move to the empty space over there, take your stuff, you're not moving back," she said suddenly. I sighed and threw my head back, "Do you have a problem? Lane?"
"No, my best friends just moving away, never to be seen again, there's no problem," I said sweetly, sarcastically smiling over my laptop. So now it was just me and Luke at the back of the class. We got our phones out since we were at the back and started texting Calum, haha hows being alone over there going calcal
C: great its going great thanks city

The teacher looked up and we looked at our computers, it didn't seem like the teacher cared that we were on our phones because we've been on them for the whole lesson. Luke took a picture of Calum and put it on Instagram he captioned it: me, maya and calum are separated )': I looked over his shoulder as he posted it.
*After School*
"We're going for band practice at Ashton's, wanna come?" Luke asked as we walked through the gates of school.
"I can't," I said sadly, "I haven't told my parents and they rarely pick up their phone." It's true, I don't really understand why they have phones to be honest, all I know is they'll be more pissed if I don't get home on time.
"YO, MAYA!" I heard someone yell, I turned to see Joe, Harley, Eloise and Scarlett, "How's it going with the music geek?" They all laughed, they've bullied me since year 7, don't exactly know why to be honest, Luke, Ashton, Michael and Calum say it's because they're jealous, but jealous of what, exactly? There isn't really anything to be jealous of, my brothers an smoking emo asshole, my parents don't give a shit about each other and are only together 'for the kids' I think it's because they're too lazy to go through the stress and paperwork of a divorce plus they're literally seeing other people at the moment and they don't wear their wedding rings even though they're legally married, I guess when it gets serious with the new person that they'll have to split up for it to become legal for them to remarry.
"Please!" Luke yelled at them, "Teach me how to be cool like you!" They glared and left me alone after that, I giggled looking down slightly.
"See ya," I said as I saw my brother behind a bush smoking.
"Bye," he said hugging me we then went separate ways. I walked towards Jacob, my brother, and looked at him smoking before coughing.
"You do realise there are teachers everywhere right now and you're barely off school grounds?" I said.
"You do realise you sound like a complete nerd?" he said throwing his cigarette to the ground and stamped on it, "Come on." We then walked all the way home, which is far as fuck, like a 35 minute walk when one of our parents doesn't pick us up. I go to Norwest Christian College, now, personally I am not a Christian but my parents are and I'm Christened but I'm more agnostic than anything.
After the long ass walk home I went straight upstairs, changed into Victoria's Secret Pink skinny grey joggers, a black sweater and some thick slipper socks. I then went into my music room and played some chords on my piano that turned into a song; G, D, Em, C.
"Don't wanna stay in, don't wanna be home, don't wanna be told where to roam, don't wanna play games, don't wanna hold, I want hot love, don't wanna be cold," I sang quietly as I pressed the chords down on the piano, I then decided to switch up the chords, because they're boring, "you tell me this, you tell me that, you givin me diss, ain't that a fact, you still got no clue, you tryna stay cool, you only see you, come on you know it's true." I then came up with a super-duper-smart-original-non-retarded-Maya-approved idea, I'm going to write down the lyrics and I'ma make this an original, because I'm smart.

The Family
Fun fact, the exterior house is a picture of a house that is actually on St Albans Road.
Oh and I'm sorry about my astoundingly poor editing skills, referring to the cover, the 'family' picture and the picture above so I'm sorry.
