In Your Wildest Dreams
Chapter 1
I woke to the sound of beating wings. I opened my eyes only to have them forced shut again by the blinding light.
Where am I? I thought to myself as I observed my surroundings.
You're in the land of dreams my young one. I heard the voice but couldn't locate its origin. I then noticed that I was seated on the back of the most beautiful dragon I had ever seen.
Can you talk? I asked it feeling stupid. Well of course it can't talk; it's a dragon for peat sake. I said scolding myself for even trying.
Well Of course I can talk. The dragon replied in a sort of raspy voice, as if she had been laughing at me.
Oh, well where are we going?
Home young one, back to the place where elves can roam free without being attacked and dragons can soar through the skies without being shot down, Where Angels can spread their wings and fly freely sharing the skies with millions of other creatures, where the inhabitants of forests and rivers can share the world with common men and women. Back home where my babies and their babies will live in harmony with all other creatures of the world.
Sounds lovely I replied.
It is.
I looked into the distance trying to see if I would be able to spot this magical place. But all I saw was a never ending sea of trees and mountains with not a soul insight.
So how far away is this magical place exactly?
Well, she replied, not far for me, but you still have a whole other world to explore before you're ready for this one. I will continue the journey to this place, but before you can you must return to your world and continue your journey there.
Oh, I said sadly, will I ever return?
Only time will tell young one, only time will tell.

That's when my alarm went off. I opened my eyes to take in the dark blue walls of my dim lit room. I reached my hand up and beat the snooze button until it stopped assaulting my ears. I then put my head back on my pillow and shut my eyes once more.
I was woken by my mother some five minutes later. "Time to get ready for school Isaac," my mother stated as she pulled back my curtains. Allowing the snakes of light to descend into my room and attack my eyes, blinding me. I pulled my covers back over my head groaning. I heard my mother leave the room "hurry up or you'll be late" she yelled at me as she left. When I was sure she was gone I pulled the covers up and sat up in bed. I looked at the clock; it was 6:45 A.M. Might as well get ready, I thought to myself as I stood up.
I walked to the bathroom in my underwear and started my shower. As it was heating up I brushed my teeth by the sing. Man, my hair's a mess I thought to myself as I stared at my complexion in the mirror. I really need a trim.
I finally finished brushing and spit what was left of my tooth paste into the sink. I then proceeded to strip off all of my clothes and get into the shower. It feels so good, I thought to myself as I allowed the warm water to splash against my back. I love showers.
After my shower I walked into my room and put on some Rock music while I got dressed. I pulled some jeans and a Metallica shirt from my closet throwing them on. Then I grabbed my IPod, phone, keys, and backpack, turned off the music, and left the room.
I walked down stairs where mom had my breakfast ready. "Eggs and toast," I said "Looks good mom." "Thanks" she replied and continued cleaning the counter. I sat in silence eating my breakfast as she continued cleaning. After I was finished I picked up the plate brought over to the sink and put it clean into the dishwasher. "Love you mom" I said kissing her on the cheek. "Have a good day" she yelled to me as I was leaving.
I walked out to my 68 camaro which was parked in the front yard. We had bought it from an old neighbor for three grand. It was my baby. Sure it had a few scratches and dents in it, but shouldn't every good car? I hopped into the driver's seat and stuck the keys in the ignition. I twisted the keys once, the engine didn't start. The second time, same thing, on the third try I heard the roar of the engine start up and couldn't help but smile. Third time's the charm right? I thought to myself as I pulled out of my driveway, headed down the road to my school.
