A tall silhouette loomed over the small white dog, staring at her with extreme hate. A large boot threw her into the wall. She yelped and let out a howl. The man grabbed her and threw her in a cage, taking her off to be mated with another dog.
The small white dog had pups, each of them beautiful. She knew the suffering she would endure from her abusive owner after they were adopted. She enjoyed the pampering for now.
ADOPTION DAY
Each pup was given a good home, all but one. A strange looking lady came in with her two kids, picking the last female that was left, a pure white one. Picking her up, she signs the papers, taking her home. As the dog grows, she nips one of the kids, getting her a good beating and being given away to the grandmother. By now, she is around 4 months old, and here she is maltreated to. She isn't groomed, she isn't let out, only fed and watered. Every time she messes the house, she is beaten with a long yardstick, then thrown in a cage for hours on end. Finally, this old woman gets fed up with her and drives a long way away where she has heard animals are dumped at. Parking on a curb, she throws the dog out of the car, making her knees pop out of place. The dog limps around, tail tucked between her legs until a nice lady and her daughter pick her up. They call the woman as the dog has a collar on, and each time the daughter tries petting the dog, she is nipped at. The mother does not seem angered as she can see this dog has suffered abuse because of her outgrown and matted fur. The rain soaked dog is given a thorough bath, along with a not so professional haircut. When the father comes home from work that night, He is so shocked and surprised that he lets her keep the dog.
LATER THAT NIGHT
Sitting on the bed, the kid talks to the dog.
"Tell me everything that happened, Tell me everything you saw."
"They had lights inside their eyes, They had lights inside their eyes..." She responds.
"Did you see the closing window, did you hear the slamming door?"
"They moved forward, and my heart died.."
"They moved forward, and my heart died.." She responds again.
"I could tell you but you wont believe me, You say you do but you don't deceive me, Dead hearts are everywhere, Dead hearts are everywhere.." The kid tells her, because the way she was walking on that street, begging anyone to take her home, she seems not to understand that a lot of people don't care.
"Its hard to know their out there, Its hard to know how you still care." The young girl says, feeling pity for the dog.
"Promise you wont hurt me?" The dog asks.
"I would never." The little girl says.
They live happily together, the little girl is still looking for the one who abused this kind animal.
STAI LEGGENDO
Dead Hearts, My rescued dog mashup.
SaggisticaThis is based off my dog. I found her on the side of the road, she had been abused, her fur was outgrown, and she was covered in mud. Nobody stopped to pick her up. We cared. WE DID. She now lives with us and she had a tag on, but.. Unfortunately...
