Caden's POV
It was raining as we walked outside and I groaned. "I hate rain" I complained aloud.
"I think raindrops are the bravest thing God created." I gave Elisabeth a weird look.
She just smiled softly and asked, "Want to know why?"
"Sure." I muttered.
"It's because they're never afraid of falling." She said, still smiling softly. She looked at me and said, "Are you afraid of falling?"
What she said had shocked me into silence with my mouth hanging open in surprise. I knew the answer. I knew it before she even asked. But I wasn't going to tell her.
I closed my mouth and looked away. "Let's just go." I said walking faster.
I'm always afraid.
