I'm looking out of the car window as my family and I are on our way to California. I am moving to California from Florida because of the "weather." My mom and dad are sitting up front while I'm sitting in the back alone.

"Are we almost there dad?" I asked my dad as he looks through the mirror to see me.

"Uhhmm......y-yea." My dad replied as my mom and I give him a confused look.

"Garrett, I swear.....if you get us lost again, you will never hear the end of it." My mom said to my dad sternly. He looked nervous.

"Fine, I'm lost..." My dad said nervously.

"I knew you'd say that. Get out." My mom said to my dad.

"Get out?! Karina, are you leaving me on the side of the rode?!" My dad yelled. He seemed scared.

"Garret, just get out and get into the passenger seat, I'm driving. I hooked up the GPS just in case." My mom said to my dad. He looked relieved and I just laughed at his overreaction.

We finally arrived to California. I stepped out of the car to look at our new home. It's bigger than my old house and it was two stories tall. It was a pretty yellow-ish white color.

I grabbed my suitcases from the trunk and I ran inside the house. As soon as you walk in you see a nice big hallway with large door ways, one leading to the kitchen and one leading to the living room. I eventually found the stairs and ran up, looking for my room.

There were three bedrooms which were all empty. I found the biggest bed room, knowing that was my parents room. I went into another room. This one had a balcony so I quickly claimed that room.

------------------------
I had all my stuff situated in my room. And since it was Sunday, I didn't really have anything else to do. I went downstairs and walked into the kitchen where my mom was.

"I'm going for a walk mom, gonna get a look of the neighborhood."

"Stay safe" my mom replied

I walked out the front door. Most of the houses looked like ours, nothing special. I kept walking and I tripped over a rock and fell flat on my face.

"Oh shit!" I yelled as I fell

"Ugh, stupid rock, stupid neighborhood, stupid houses, stupid me." I stood up looking at my bare knee. Blood, great. I picked up the rock and threw it into the street. I wiped the blood off with my sleeve. Oh well, just a little decoration on my sleeve.

I eventually found a park and sat at the little hood thing of the slide. It was nice and peaceful until.....

"Hey you!" A little boy yelled at me, he looked around 5 years old.

"Yea?" I replied

He climbed up the steps to reach where I was sitting.

"Watch this" he said

He quickly pushed me off the top of the slide making me fall to the hard floor.

I cringed at the pain in my back. I took deep breathes and tried getting up. Useless. I sat there hoping the pain would go away.

The little boy came back down and laughed in my face.

Bitch..

I pushed myself up.

"Mmhghh! Ow!" I eventually got up as a tear fell down my face. It hurts way more than you think. I've hurt my back before and that just made this 10 times worse.
