Dream Duet

Shanias POV-

"Abby, im so nervous! What if i screw up?!" I said.

"Its okay Shania. Its just a little preformance infront of a class, ive done thousands of preformances and i always do great! Just put youre mind somewhere else" Abby smiled while we were walking into class.

The teacher waved us over to the front of the class and we stood there while the class filed in. Once everyone was seated our teacher told us we can start whenever we're ready. So i looked at Abby, nodded my head, and smiled. I was so nervous but I need to get over my fear of preforming. We started singing, we sang the song "Titanium".

As we finished the class clapped and I got this feeling in the pit of my stomach like i was going to throw up but i didnt! I couldnt stop smiling. I finally got over my fear.

....

It was the end of the day and me and Abby got called to the music room where we have our vocals class. The teacher told us that we should audition for the schools talent show because he said our voices are so beautiful and when we sing together its amazing. So me and Abby signed up. We had a audition tomorrow after school.

When me and Abby got home we told Aunt Jo all about the preformance and talent show audition. She said that since we did so well she would take us out to get icecream.

...

Later that night me and Abby agreed on the song "Titanium" again. We figured it would be a powerful song to sing.

We actually decided to record ourselfs singing and Abby suggested we posted it on Youtube so i agreed.

-In the morning-

My mom called me to see how im doing with school and settling in. Its Wednesday now so she said on Sunday she would come for a visit. She told me she had a present for me and Abby. I told her all about the preformance.

At school I was nervous all day. And i got to see Zack, he was away yesterday. I got even MORE nervous around him. It was like butterflies dancing in my tummy. But theres no way he would ever like me, well maybe...but i highly doubt it.

Abby introduced me to her boyfriend during lunch. His name is Dylan. I asked Abby how long theyve been dating and she said "two months!"

I got angry at her for not telling me but she ended up making me laugh so im not mad anymore.

Im glad i have Abby as a friend and a cousin. I feel like ive known her for so long! Its like i can tell her anything.

Anyways..

It was the end if the day now.

We did our preformance, and the teacher who holds auditions told us that we made it into the talent show. She gave us a few tips and she said we have a great chance at winning.

The winner gets a trip for four to LA, and they get a chance to be on a popular singing competition show, where there will be FAMOUS people!

"Why is there such a large prize for the winner of a dumb talent show? I thought this was just for fun?!" I asked Abby, confused.

"Because this is a singing school, Shania. They take it very seriously here. This is a school specifically for people who have a chance at being famous (like a singer, dancer etc) The school has connections with people who get us deals like this. We're very lucky to be in this school!"

"Oh..." I said, still confused. I had no idea.

The talent show was in 2 weeks so we had plenty of time to practice.

The week passed and it was now Saturday. Abby told me about a party she was invited to and she told me it would be fun to go. So i decided i should go. We got dressed for the party. I wore a black tshirt with jeggings and uggs. Abby wore a cute shirt with skinnies and cute shoes.

We arrived at the party and the person who opened the door to us was Zack! He was hosting the party! Abbys boyfriend came over and found us and took Abby away to the dancefloor. I was left there all alone, looking like a loner. I pulled out my iPod and texted my old friend Michelle to tell her about everything (also so I didnt look like a loner). Someone tapped me on the shoulder and i dropped my iPod. "Can you not?!" I said to the person before looking at who it was. I picked up my iPod and put it into my pocket. I looked over at the person who tapped my shoulder. It was Zack!!

"Sorry Shyana" he said "i just wanted to see if you wanted to dance with me"

"Um well first of all my name is Shania not Shyana!" I said, really annoyed.

He apoligized again.

I looked up at him, into his dark brown eyes. They were gorgeous. He held out his hand and i grabbed his hand. "Is this really happening? Or is it a dream?" I thought to myself.

We slow danced and when the music stopped he pulled me into a tight embrace.

"What. Did that really just happen? Am i imagining this? WAKE UP SHANIA!" I thought to myself again.

I stood there speechless and he took my iPod, entered his name in the contacts, and walked away.

It was the end of the party and me and Abby left to go home. When we got home our Aunt jo told us the bunkbed was finally here. I called top bunk and Abby got bottom.

I went to sleep right away.

In the morning i woke up to a knock on the door. "Come in" i said, it was my mom. She had a medium sized box in her hands and it was Meowing. I was so confused. She opened the box and it was a kitten!She handed it to me! I immedietly hugged my mom. Why did she get me a kitten? I thought to myself.

I then unlocked my iPod and checked my contacts (thats the only way to tell if last night was real.)

I guess it was, because i had a new contact on there named Zack.

I woke Abby up, and showed her the kitten. She screamed! I guess she was happy too. We decided to name it Jellybean!

My mom stayed for a bit then went home. Aunt jo wasnt too pleased with the kitten but i think she'll get over it.

Me and Abby went bowling that night, it was fun!

The next day at school i accidently bumped into Zack.

"Why didnt you text me?! I thought you liked me." He said

"Uh sorry. I was busy..." I replied

"Yeah whatever. Im too good for a loser like you anyways." He said and walked away.

Well then. That esculatesd quickly. I shrugged my shoulders and walked to my next class. (I didnt want to seem like a wimp to dwell on the fact that the hottest guy at school just...freaked out at me and called me a loser...) i actually felt hurt though. He called me a loser? Is that really what he thinks of me?

After school i told Abby about Zack and she flipped out. She told me not to worry about it though because Zacks a total jerk and does this all the time to girls. She then told me that she knows the perfect guy for me..

I wonder who it is?

Authors note - Hi! So i updated this again. Sorry, today has been a pretty boring day and i like where my story is going. I have lots of ideas! And i hope everyone likes it. Even though pretty much no one has read my story...haha thats okay though. :)
