Cas looked good. He--or his vessel-- was an attractive guy. That was a fact that Dean knew throughout his time knowing Castiel. Castiel was familiar and predictable. In his facial expressions, the way he held himself, and even his voice. Dean could always tell when something was wrong. When Castiel wasn't quite Cas.

So when Dean sees Castiel seated in the Bunker library pouring over a book and wearing a T-shirt and jeans, he was slightly suspicious.

“I made coffee.” Castiel says, gesturing to the mug opposite him. Dean blinks at it owlishly. Right. He hasn't had that yet.

“Right. Thanks, babe.” He says, sitting across from him and taking a sip, not taking his eyes off Castiel. “Are you okay?”

Castiel looks up from the book and meets Dean's eye. “Yes, why wouldn't I be?” He asks, eyebrows pulled together in concern.

“Well-- ah,” Dean vaguely gestures to Castiel’s body.

Castiel gives what can only be called a sheepish smile. “I hope you don't mind me wearing your clothes. I desired a change of pace.”

Now that his mind is slightly more awake with coffee, he does recognize his own Black Sabbath t-shirt. “Yeah-- No, I mean you're good. You look good.” He says, cheeks coloring slightly.

Castiel smiles. “Thank you.”

“But why--?” Dean starts to ask, but is interrupted by Sam briskly walking into the room.

“So get this…”

--------------------

Dean knows Castiel doesn't have to change his clothing, he just wants to. He also doesn't have to sleep, but does.  But, he can't comprehend why sometimes his angel is wears yellow pajamas with honeybee patterns and matching fluffy socks.

Dean is cooking breakfast one Tuesday morning, he hears Castiel’s voice from across the large kitchen. “Dean.” Dean turns around, about to reply, when he hears quick footsteps. Castiel smoothly slides across the floor on his yellow socks, straight up to Dean and wraps his arms around him in a hug, face hidden in his neck. “Good morning.” He says, voice slightly muffled.

Dean smiles and kisses the side of his head. “Mornin’ Cas.” His opinion on Castiel’s unnecessary sleep attire has shifted from completely ridiculous to completely adorable.

----------------------------

Sometimes Sam gets fed up. Living with a couple can get awkward and stifling. He's glad his room is so far away from Dean and Castiel’s, but when he needs the Bunker to himself, he sends them hunts without him.

Hunting with Castiel is nice, angel mojo and all. But even after all these years, Castiel can't question witnesses, or tie his tie correctly. The two are almost out of the motel room door when Dean notices. “Why don't you just learn to tie a tie? What fed can't tie a tie?” He asks, as he starts taking the tie off to redo it.

Castiel chuckles, moving closer. “I prefer when you do it.” He says lowly, capturing Dean in a soft kiss that soon turned quick and needy. Case momentarily forgotten, the hands that were occupied with a striped blue tie, become busy with unbuttoning a white dress shirt.

---------------

Dean grows accustomed to Castiel wearing his cloths. This Sunday morning, Cas is wearing Dean's jeans and Metallica t-shirt, and has glorious bed hair. They're in the Bunker's kitchen again, trying to figure out what to eat, as Sam conveniently forgot to do the shopping.

“I will go out and get breakfast.” Castiel says, about to fly from the room.

“Sounds good-- wait.” Dean says, looking down.

“What?” Castiel says with a tilt of his head.

“You'll cut up your feet. And get dirty, you go without shoes.” Dean says.

“Yes I can.” Castiel replies, and is gone with the sound of wingbeats. Sam let's out a huff of laughter from the table.

“Shut up.”

“I didn't say anything.”

By the time Castiel returns with food, Sam has left.

“So, I've been meaning to ask you, Cas.” Dean says, taking Castiel’s hand in his. “Why do you keep stealing my clothes?”

Castiel, clearly still embarrassed by this line of questioning smiles. “Well, they smell like you, for one.” He says, with the very human action of staring at his bare feet.

Dean feels a rush of affection and tilts Castiel’s chin towards him. “Well, they suit you.” He says before bringing their lips together. Dean thought that being together, like this, was the best look on Cas.
