Hello! So this is the first chappie. Please treat it/me well. xoxo.

I was on my one hundred and seventy-third sheep when a loud knock had me wincing. My new bed was extremely cozy, already feeling like home. "What?" I groaned, not budging from my snug position. Before I knew it, my best friend barged in and stared me down, pretending that she was some twisted version of Superman: ideal best friend by day and amazing hero by night- hero as in 'the only one who could save me from being a loner'.
"Violet Jones Hill. Get up from that nest right now." Katelyn, the best friend, was practically screaming into my ear.
I rolled my eyes. The last thing I wanted to do was get up. "Why." I questioned. Staring at her from the angle of the bed made me smirk. I lifted my hands and formed my fingers into L's and pretended I was taking a picture. "Who would've thought that Quirky Kate would become such a hot momma."
Kate, which was short for Katelyn, swat my hand away and pointed a slender finger directly at my face. "This is college for crying out loud. It's already been nine goddamn days since we've moved here, Vi. Get out of that bed and let's go make some friends, yeah?" I instinctively reached for the comforter to hide myself- but Kate was faster, her grip already on the blanket. "Don't. You. Dare." She pulled the cover away from me and exposed me to the chilly draft that wandered around the small apartment.
"Kate, please-"
"No. Nothing will let you off the hook this time. So get up." In my desperation, I let out a small whine and gave her the most pathetic puppy eyes I could muster.
"You better try again." I muffled a curse under my breath, brushing some loose hairs from my oily face. "How long have you been in bed for?" I knew her words were code for: why the fuck is your face so oily and your body permeating such strange odors.
I gave a curt shrug and finally lifted myself off the bed. My back ached so I outstretched my arms and legs, bringing some life back into my body. "What do you want from me?" I asked. Kate stepped away as her phone began to buzz from inside her little pink purse. She pulled it out and made a big motion of having to accept the call. I gave her a nod and continued to stretch.
"Sorry. She'll be ready in a bit. Give us forty minutes." Kate said, focusing on the caller, her eyebrows furrowing in habit. She laughed and said, "I know. Fashionably late." I gave her a quizzical look but she just turned away in response, not wanting to lose focus from the call.
I was swinging my legs back and forth when she finally hung up and returned to grace me with her presence. "What's going on? You going somewhere?" I admit I was interested, but not for my own gain. I knew that Kate had been quite the partier since college started and I was a bit wary- the party life was something that could easily destroy someone. I knew firsthand.
Kate clapped her hands and plastered the most unfortunate smile on her face. "No. Babe, we're going somewhere." I immediately tried to respond but she cut me off with a finger to my lips. "Shh. Just this once. You need to live it up. Come on." Her pleas were answered as I planted my feet onto the cold hardwood floor, standing at my full 5'5 height.
Her eyes lit up as I tucked some loose strands of hair behind my ears. "Okay. I'll go." Although she was clearly excited, her eyes narrowed at my response.
"Are you trolling me right now." I playfully punched her in the arm and walked over to my dresser.
I began to search for a pair of clean underwear and socks. "Why would I do that?"
"B- but you're being so pleasant."
I turned around with a pair of white lace panties in hand- undergarments were the only things I let myself splurge on. "What does that mean?" My tone was all but serious.
