Real talk: college can either be a blessing or a waste of time. It's a blessing for me because it occupies most of my hours, but also a waste of time because it's something my parents want me to be in and it's highkey making me miserable, even if I am taking at least 2-3 classes I'll enjoy this term.
I'm not asking for advice when I write this, by the way (I already intend to speak with both of them at some point). I don't want to live my life like the rest of the adults in my family by doing something I hate for a job and throughout the rest of my life. Sorry, I'm not going to continue living my life in a depressed slump like my mom and dad much longer. ✋🏼
And another thing: why is it that people just act like they can't change their lives? We can really do anything we want, even if it results in our early deaths or arrests, or even homelessness, etc. It's like society and the government and every other human being is so afraid to let others life how they want to. Not all people who are homeless are miserable just like not all people are rich are happy.
If I were to die next year, I would be damn sure to do everything I wanted to this year and not let anybody stop me; after all, it's pointless to waste your life away wishing you could do this or that as if you CAN'T. You can. If you really think you can, that's because someone told you you can't. We are all going to be in charge of our own lives eventually. Don't act like that day will never come. You can sure sit and wallow in anger now, but if you let that follow you to your adult life (trust me, I'm a breathing example of it), you're PROBABLY only going to regret it and hate yourself even more. That doesn't mean you still can't do what you what to while your body still allows you to, or while you're still alive.
I don't know. That's just me, though.
