After about an hour of walking around meeting with the owners and grooming the horses Zach came up behind you, “hey, are you ready to leave? We can come back tomorrow.” He says. “Oh yeah I’m ready and you don’t have to come with me tomorrow if you have other plans.” I reply. “But I want to, and I have to show you how riding is down” he smirk. Your mouth hung open “you ride?” you coughed. “Don’t act so shocked.” He says. “Well I never pin the guy with metal in his lip and ripped jeans as a rider.” You say sarcastically. “Well you’ll just have to wait and see. But I was wondering if you would like to walk to the ice cream parlor with me before we head back.” He asks. You think about it for a bit because it was getting dark and you didn’t want your mum to worry because you didn’t tell her where you were going. Well you didn’t really know either Zach just decided to kidnap you and take you to your favorite places. “Can I borrow your phone so I can tell my mum where I’m headed.” You finally decided to go with Zach. “Well actually erm something came up and I have to get home, maybe tomorrow we can go.” He says with a half-smile. You can’t help but feel a bit of disappointment, “no y/n stop you don’t like him, you just met him, don’t fall for him.” You repeat to yourself over and over. “Oh okay that’s fine I should be getting home anyways, but can I still use your phone to call my mum real quick.” You ask Zach. “sure thing” he says handing you his phone. After you hung up the phone with your mum it took you to a conversation and you couldn’t help but to read it.

You read it over and over just feeling numb. You feel like you’ve been played. “What was I even thinking? As soon as I let my guard down for two fucking seconds something happens. This is why I moved here, to get away from everybody, away from situations like these.” You tell yourself. Before you know it you have tears in your eyes. Really tears? You didn’t even know you liked him, you mean you didn’t like him. Then what are you feeling, why does your chest feel so heavy? He isn’t your type, he just seemed into you just as an act. But why? What does he want out of you? Is he trying to reveal all your secrets so your first day of school everybody already knows everything? Well you’re not gonna let that happen. You give Zach his phone back, well more like throw it at him and start running away. “Are you really mad because something came up? If I knew you would get so obsessed with me in one day I would have never asked you to come out. I even told you you’re not my type” You hear Zach yell behind you. But you keep running, running away from everything. ”that’s your problem y/n you never face your problems you just run away from them. You can’t do that all the time.” You hear the flashback coming into your mind. You shake it off and continue running, you have no idea where you’re going, you don’t even know how to get home, or where you’re at. “Fuck I’m so stupid” you hear Zach’s voice in the background but you don’t care.
