What's the difference between good and evil? The difference between dark and light? What if they dark and evil were not the same? Likewise with good and light?
Good and evil is exclusive to those with a conscious effort to differ between right and wrong and strive to do one or the other. Striving to be good means striving for selflessness, caring for others, and giving all you can. While striving for evil means being greedy, showing no mercy, and helping no one.
The difference between light and dark Is different. Light doesn't always mean good. Light and Dark are exclusive to creatures which act on instinct and nature. A spirit for instance, is a light creature, it is "good" by nature, not by choice. Therefore a Dark creature, such as a revenant, is dark only by nature, they dont choose.
Therefore, Light and Dark are enemies by nature Light and Dark cannot exist together, where there is Dark, there can be no Light, lest the other depart.
