There I was, walking into the classroom. With my same old purple colored backpack and with that same old "why do I have to this shit" face. I went in the classroom and sat down at my same old seat and as usual, the classroom was filled with my classmates that I never really talk to. So I sat there waiting for at least one of my "friends" to show up at the classroom door.

Well, Crystallex Middle School is a little different from the other American schools. Don't get what I mean? Then here's what I'm talking about. On the first day of school, you would go in your classroom like any other student would right? And when you get in there, you would see your classmates. So in Crystallex, the students don't need to walk to different classes for each different subject. Instead, we stay in our classes and the teachers will walk into our classroom. Still confused? Then I'll put it in this way, the whole class basically just stays in the same classroom for the whole year. Yup, that means I'm going to have to look at the same old faces every time I walk into the same old classroom.

At this point, I felt someone shaking me and yelling "Wake up!!". Of course, it was Mom. "Come on Sweetie, you don't want to be late on the first day of school!!", she said. I replied with a groan that meant " 5 more minutes please". But she didn't allow it. She just continued to shake me until I eventually open my eyes and said, "Okay, okay, I'm up!!!". She smiled and said, "You better start getting ready or you're going to be late". So I got up, fixed my bed, and did my regular "why do I have to go to school" routine. "Wow, a dream about the first day of school on the first day of school, how amazing." I said to myself with a sarcastic voice.

After having breakfast, Mom was already waiting for me in her car. Damn, how I wished I could drive on my own to school. I don't know why, but I just want to. Mom dropped me off at the front of Crystallex Middle School, wished me all the best for the first day of school, gave me a hug and a kiss on the forehead and she drove off to work. I walked into the hallways and looked for my new classroom that I'm going to get stuck in for the rest of the year. "Found it.", I said. Inside, I saw a few girls that were my classmates last year and apparently, this year as well.

"Hi Grey!", one of them said with a happy smile. It was Laura, the so called "prettiest" girl in class.

"Oh, hey Laura!" , I replied with a wave.

"So, did you enjoy school break?" , she asked.

"Yeah, it was okay." I also gave her a smile to hide my face of misery.

The other two girls that were with her just smiled at me. I smiled back and took a seat at the middle of the classroom. FYI, my classmates last year are going to be my classmates this year as well so I guess there's nothing much to be excited about except meeting my best friends. Sigh. While waiting for some of my friends to show up, I sat there thinking about random things. And all of a sudden, I had a craving. A craving so strong, but it wasn't a craving for food. It was a craving for love.
