"Elena...Elena! Get up!" a voice said to me. I quickly picked my head up to see who was yelling, it was my brother Leo. "Mom left so you gotta drive me to school." he says as he gets off my bed. "You say that as if I don't always take you to school." we both laughed and he walks out so I can get ready. I freshend up and pick my favorite Thrasher shirt then headed downstairs to find my keys.'Ugh!Im always losing those things' I thought to myself. Once I found them I grabbed my book bag and yelled, "Come on! I don't wanna be late I already have to pick up Mila and Ife!". Mila and Ife are my "clique" but there like the sisters I never had. He ran downstairs and we headed out then I get a call from my friend Reece. "What you want?!?" I say jokingly. "Shut up, Do you have room for one more because I'm at Ife's house and I don't wanna ride the bus..." he says with a pleading voice. "Yeah of course.". He says thank you and I hang up the phone. "Dude can you drive faster I wanna see Aubrey ....... for this project." Leo said. "She has a boyfriend .. and older one at that that's not afraid to beat your ass and I won't be there to help you." I said. He just smacked his teeth and I smacked him on his head. I pull up at Ife's house and text her, "I'm outside". Next thing you know I see Mila, Ife and Reece running out the door and rushing into the car. "GO! GO! GO!" they all yell at me and with no questions I speed off. We get to the road and I ask, "What was that about?". "Two words, step dad". Leo and I both said in unison, "Ohhh". See Ife step dad is a bit older than her mom like, 20 years older, he's 79 and on top of that he has flashbacks from the Vietnam War a lot, so you connect the dots."Yeah, he was throwing chairs at us, and kept repeating 'hold the chair' so .."Reece said. I just laughed and eventually everyone just laughed. Me being really extra laughed too hard and almost hit a car and that made us we were quiet for the rest of the ride. We arrive to school and we go our separate ways since we were kinda late. I was walking to my locker when I see Jameir standing by it looking right at me. I kinda smiled not being sure if he was looking at me or someone else. I arrive to my locker and he says, "I was wondering when you were going to come.". Jameir is this guy that I've been having a crush on since the 7th grade but we've never been more than friends so him doing this is kinda freaking me out. "And what if I wasn't gonna show up...." I said trying to be flirty. 'Please don't say that again Elena.' I thought to myself. "Well I just would've went to class the fuck." he says laughing. I laughed trying to play it off and just walked away heading to Mr. Mason's class. 'Oh how he can make my self esteem go from 100 to -299'.
