I felt his hand cup my cheek. "I can see the stars", I heard myself whisper. A single tear fell down my cheek.
"Tell my family I love them".
"I promise I will" he replied. My final words got caught in my throat. "Goodbye". I felt a pearly drop of water come from his face. Then I felt no more.
