Things used to be so normal at John Quincy Adams Middle School. It used to be, boring, boring, homework, Dad, Life Lessons, Blah Blah Blah. But now, everything is different.
Hi, I'm Riley Matthews. Everybody used to know me as Happy Rainbow, Smiley Town, Cars eating Pizza and Hamburgers on a Sunny Day on the beach. But, not anymore. It's weird, everything happened as soon as my ex-boyfriend (the new boy, Lucas) got here. Like, he was bad luck bait. And I know that it seems silly. But I'm dead serious..
My best friend (EVER x19282939) is Maya Hart. Now, she was the rebel, still is, and I assume she always will be. But, she sure knows how to deal with mysteries, suspense, blah, blah, blah..
Anyways, I bet you're wondering
"What happened??"
Welp. Guess I better tell you. Here goes.
It all started on January 23, 2014.. The first day Lucas Friar got here, aka HAR HAR.
"Alright class, Today we're learning about the Civil War. Does anybody know anyth-" He was interrupted by Farkle Minkus, my boyfriend.
"Me, me, me, me, me, me, me!" Farkle shouted.
"The Civil War is the central event in America's historical consciousness. While the Revolution of 1776-1783 created the United States, the Civil War of 1861-1865 determined what kind of nation it would be. Th-"
The bell rang. Thank you, Minkus!
Me and Maya walked out of the room, talking to each other, when her phone beeped.
"What's that??" I asked.
"I have no idea," She responded.
She checked her phone.
"Oh- it's a text??" She said.
"Be careful for what you do, or your friends will no longer be there for you..." She read aloud.
"Who's it from??" I asked
"An.. Unknown number.." She said.
"Just block it, it's probably someone trying to play a prank on you...." I said.
"Yeah, you're right," She said, blocking the number.
Little did we know, that was not a prank..
