You had spent your entire life in your small town of (city). And now, thanks to your parents, you were moving.

Your dad recently accepted a job promotion, but it required relocation. You were moving to good ol' Texas.

You were leaving behind your school, your reputation, and most importantly, your friends.

You were known as the 'anime girl' of the school, and you were ok with that. The problem was finding other people who were also otakus.

At least you were lucky enough to leave at the end of the year, so you had time to say goodbyes. Also, you wouldn't have to catch up on any school. Plus you had time to settle in.

Well, currently, you were sitting in an empty room with boxes that need unpacking. You were too lazy, so you just sat on your computer, sprawled out on the floor.

"Honey, you need to start unpacking. It's been a day already."

"URGHHHHHHH do I have to?"

"If you want your phone. "
No. Anything but that. Your phone was your life.

"fineeee." You dejectedly looked at the boxes. This was gonna take a while. You unpacked your clothes and stuffed them in some drawers in your dresser. Then you set up your (f/c) beanbag in the corner. You flopped the mattress on the bed frame. You smiled evilly as an idea came to mind.

Sproing! Sproing! You were filled with glee as you bounced around on the bed.

Thud! Ow... You slipped and fell on the floor. Then you started laughing. That was gonna hurt for weeks, but it sure was fun.

You might as well make your bed now. You pulled out your comforter and pillow and tucked in everything neatly. You really didn't see any point in doing this, it was gonna get messed up anyway. Meh, it looked nice.

Then you went to set up your desk. Pens in here, laptop on the side, papers in the drawer. Everything was organized... For now. By then it was around ten, so you decided to get some sleep.

Apparently, your next week was poorly spent, because your mother was now lecturing you.

"You need to get outside! Become familiar with your surroundings! You'll be spending the remainder of your life here! Don't just coop up in your room!"

"But mommmm, it's too hot and bright outside to do anything!"

"Like I just said, you'll have to get used to it."

You rolled your eyes. Why does she have to meddle SO MUCH?

"Fine. I'll make you a deal. You go outside and go explore or something for an hour and I'll give you 20 bucks to decorate your room. "

"YESSSS!" You practically squealed. All of your anime knickknacks, unfortunately, had to be given away due to the fact that you couldn't take EVERYTHING with you.

She handed you the cash. "Take your phone so you don't get lost." She told you as she shoved you towards the door. You smiled at the Ben Franklins in your hand.

You decided to go downtown to check out all the shops there. To your amazement, Texas had Japanese stores.
Your eyes lit up as you walked in. It was so beautiful!!! There was so much you wanted. Man, these greenbacks were gonna go fast.

Your mom said it was for DECORATING purposes, so you headed over to the posters section. You picked up your favorite (anime) poster. Should you get two? You grabbed a different (anime 2) poster.

Now you had spent half, you decided to go check out the new manga section. It's not every day that they have a store dedicated to Japanese stuff.

There was the new one, in all its glory. On the top shelf.
You weren't exactly the shortest person, but this shelf was huge. You jumped up and tried to grab it. Your fingertips just grazed the cover.

You blew out a puff of air in frustration as you rocked back on your heels.

"Would you like some help, ma'am?"

So, how did you guys like the first chapter? It kinda sucks... But it's just the intro, so I guess it's ok.

Until next time ...
