we may not have much
but we have abundant wealth
in immeasurable things
like a poppy flower that
dances with clouds with no cares
- The poppy is the symbol of riches, abundances, imagination and dreaminess. In Greek culture it symbolize eternal sleepand oblivion. The poppy is also the emblem of Memorial Day in remembrance of fallen soldiers. One species of the poppy, Papaver somniferum, is the source of the drug we known as opium. In Ancient times, poppy seeds were eaten to alleviate pain.
