Xavier's POV

I stumbled up the tiny stairs to my brothers apartment, dragging my bags behind me. The wards around Magnus's house have prevented me from using my magic to carry them. Finally, I arrived at the front door to find it locked. I pulled out my key and slammed the door open, knocking a picture off the wall.

On the gold leather sofa was Magnus. He was straddling Alec lightwood and they were having a very heated make-out session, judging by the fact that neither of them had shirts on and Alec was missing his trousers, eternally lost to the bomb site that was my brothers apartment.

I walked over to them quietly so they didn't notice me, then, I grabbed a vase from a cabinet and emptied it over the pair, making them jump back away from each other and making Alec blush furiously.

"Really, Magnus? Not only a nephillim but a lightwood? The Alec lightwood who is meant to be taking over the institute with his wife?!" I asked, putting emphasis on the last word.

"I, um, what about a wife?" Asked Magnus.

"He doesn't have one, he probably never will now. You broke him"

"Um, Magnus, who is this crazy woman?" Asked Alec quietly, inspecting my cat ears and eyes, mine a silver colour as opposed to Magnus's gold.

"Alec, this is my sister, Xavier. Xavier, this is Alec" Magnus said.

"Oh, yes, I remember. I treated your sister when she got stung by a ravager demon. You're the closeted one. Did you come out yet?" I asked, clearly intimidating the boy.

"Um, not yet." Alec mumbled.

"Really, brother?" I asked incredulously, slamming my hand into my forehead.

"What? I don't see the problem!" Shouted Magnus.

"Don't see the problem? You remember what happened last time this happened. Remember Tutankhamen? He got killed because of it. He was a shadowhunter. He was killed because you wanted to get laid. I just don't want it to happen again" I said, my eyes softening and my ears becoming flat against my head. There were tears in Magnus's eyes at this point and I walked over to him, pulling him into a hug.

"Hey, if it's any consolation, I hooked up with Catarina in London." I whispered in his ear, making him laugh.

"Right. The spare room clear? I really wanna dump my bags" I asked, pulling away.

"Yeah, you remember where it is" Magnus said. I stood up and picked up my bags, walking to the spare room. It was French grey with silver woodwork, curtains and carpet. There was a four-poster bed in the middle of the room and a balcony that overlooked New York. On the bed was a fluffy grey cat that glared at me with yellow eyes.

"Magnus! Your fleabag is in here! Kindly remove it!" I shouted. Me and the cat had a mutual hatred for each other, ever since he ate my fish, Churchill.

Magnus waltzed into the room and picked up chairman meow, walking out of the room and going back to Alec. I dropped my bags on the bed and walked back to the living room.

"Magnus, can you let me use magic here please, I'm turning into a mundane" I said.

"Yep" he said and snapped his fingers. I wiggled my fingers and conjured two glass balls, one black and one clear. I turned them around each other, hovering just above my hand. "I was always jealous of your telekinesis" Magnus mumbled.

"So, when are you getting married?" I asked Alec, sitting in the chair across the room.

"What? I-we-were not even together" stuttered Alec. I felt a pain in my chest from the charm I cast on me and Magnus, meaning we can feel each others pain.
I looked over at Magnus with concerned eyes to see him looking like he was about to cry.
