"Where is he?!" proclaimed my mother, whose hands were now placed firmly on her hips in disgust. This warlock certainly had a lot of nerve keeping Maryse Lightwood waiting, boy was he in for it.
"I'm sure he can't be far away" called a reassuring distant voice which I could immediately identify as the one and only Jace Wayland. As he walked up and stood bedside me I glanced over, watching as he carefully pushed a strand of blonde hair off his forehead.
"We need to be absolute about whether or not any kind of magic was used in the creation of that .. thing" she started again, gesturing to the forsaken like body laying on a white sheet on the nearby table. The same body that had come within seconds of completely devouring a mundane, stopped only by one of my newest aerodynamic arrows flung from the fingers wrapped tightly around my bow straight into the target.
"Which warlock is coming?" I asked curiously, as no one had previously informed me of a name .. typical.
"Magnus Bane" replied my mother sternly, as if she was gritting her teeth whilst talking.
The name didn't ring any bells ... suppose he's not from around here?
" He's the High Warlock of Brooklyn ..." Jace ushered to me, "Well known by his kind, but always seeming to be in hiding, secluded from everyone else. Probably why you haven't heard about him."
"Oh. What's he ... " was all that I could say before the bellowing sound of the Institutes doors opening, it's echo bouncing around the vast space like a ball creating silence, all eyes watching to see the figure emerging...
