We met because my mom and his dad were dating. We didn't talk to our parents. We couldn't even if we tried, they were never sober. We would sneak out when the stars shined the brightest. We escaped through and old rusted barb wired fence that had a human sized hole in it. Then we go through all the prickels and trees to our secret spot, a grove, right next to an old willow tree .I looked at him and he gazed at me. I stared at the deep blue pools of eyes, swimming away from home in them. They always reminded me of autumn because of the speckles of light green and auburn. He stares at my hazel eyes so hard I almost think that he really can see my soul. I didn't wanna blink for fear he'd look away and I didn't want him to ever look away. I snuggled closer to him because of the cool breeze. As my lips grazed his collar bone, his muscles tensed and his breath was trembling. I love that. He grabbed my waist and pulled me close to his face. I could smell the peppermint cinnamon on his breath; his favorite gum. He leaned in and closed his eyes. I leaned closer and softly kissed him. As night grew more tired he pulled so close that the only thing you could fit between us is a blade of grass. We knew it would be alright because our parents were together because they were to scared to be alone. Both of them cheat on each other. They are both starving for comfort, love, and money. Not true love but the type of love you have for food. Great to have when your hungry but bad when your not. We laid as nights weary eyes started to close and days started to open. Our body eat intertwining, our souls interlocking, and the willow tree cradling our heavy tired heads. We dreamed of the day when we'd get out of the hell hole we are in, but for now we have each other and that's all we need.
