Prolouge

This is my first ever story I've written so whoever reads this, please don't judge...

     
       Once upon a time there was a very handsome teenage boy name Eli. He inherited his mother's blonde hair and his father's emerald green eyes. Eli isn't at all what you expected him to be though. He is very shy and introverted. He would lock himself up in his room everyday to work on science experiments. He's always been an isolated type of guy, at least ever since his mom passed away. Many people know Eli as the prince of The Kingdom
Of Magic (very lame name tbh), though he doesn't like being known as the prince. He wants to be known as Eli, just Eli. The Kingdom of Magic only allowed men and teenage boys to use and learn magic. He never really liked the idea of magic, because in many books he's read, people always use it for no good.
After his mom died, Eli's father (the great magician King William) didn't hesitate and married another lady. Eli didn't like the idea but didn't get a say in it. He thought something was fishy about his new step-mom, but shook that thought away, but always payed attention to her. King William as an amazing magician, wanted his son to learn magic, but never pushed him. As a growing child, he never really understood how his father looked so younger though he knew his father wasn't, until he found out about magic. He also had suspicions about his fathers behavior, acting odd and unlike himself. It's as if he was planning something along with his new wife, but that something was really big. Eli also finds his emotions mixing up as he finds himself doing something he never knew was possible for him, he's fallen in love...
