Papyrus and Undyne sat on the couch in Papyrus' home, fully unamused with anything and everything. They had been at this for a while when suddenly, Undyne jumped up from her seated position with an irritated expression arising on her face.
"It's summer, what the hell are we doing?!" She shouted. Undyne wasn't sure if she had been yelling to herself and Papyrus or no one in particular. Nonetheless, she kept on ranting.
"We should be doing something! The beach is open, the pier is open, all the stores are open," She turned to Papyrus, "Quick! What can we do?"
"Er, we could go to the pier. However, I do not feel very motivated to do much of anything at the time. While I feel inclined to lie down on this very couch for the time being, I suggest you go into town with someone. Besides me, that is." Papyrus responded.
"Oh yeah, with who?"
"I would say either Alphys or the human," Papyrus answered, "but it is up to you to go with whomever you wish."
"Hurr dblurr, grammar is important, the sun is green and the creators of the English language are sorcerers. Anyways, the little punk's probably at the library or a food place. I guess I'll just hang around here, then." Undyne sighed, plopping herself back onto the very uncomfortable couch.
"What about Alphys?"
"Are you kidding me?!" Undyne began to shout once again. "She'd probably think I'm asking her out on a pier date or something!"
"Well, aren't you asking her out on a pier date?"
"No!"
"How about a beach date?"
"That's even worse!"
"Well, methinks and everyone knows that you want to ask her out on a date, so do it!" It was now Papyrus' turn to jump off of the couch and begin yelling. "Just do it!"
"Papyr-" Undyne was cut off by Papyrus, who kept at it.
"Don't let your dreams be dreams. Yesterday, you said tomorrow, so just do it!"
"I didn't say anything about this yest-" She was cut off yet again.
"Make your dreams come true! Just do it! Some people dream of success, while you are going to wake up and work hard at it. Nothing is impossible! You should get to the point whete anyone else would quit, and you are not going to stop there. No, what are you waiting for?! Do it! Just do it! Yes you can! If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up." Papyrus finished, giving a mock bow.
"Did you seriously just use an old meme to motivate me?" Undyne asked, standing up and raising an eyebrow
"Er- Well, I just thought-"
"Because it totally worked!" She stated, laughter seeming to burst out of her.
"Really?" Papyrus beamed, his fixed grin perfectly aligning with his emotions.
"Duh! In fact, I'm gonna do it right now! If you need either of us, me and Alphys will be at the dock." Undyne grabbed Papyrus' phone off the table. This, of course, was acceptable behavior seeing as she and Papyrus regularly switched the phone over to one another. Undyne walked out to the door, setting off to the pier and getting ready to give Alphys a call, and 'just do it.'
"Alphys and I," Papyrus said to himself with a grin before feeding his brother's pet rock.
