"You're right, there is something off. But it isn't this place... Or those people..."

When he didn't respond I stood up. "Fine, I'll prove it to you." I strode up to a lady who was walking out into the hallway.

"Excuse me."

She didn't stop for me.

Frowning, I Quickened my pace and finally caught her shoulder. "Miss I just wanted to-".

I gasped.

The woman's face was replaced with a dark hole.

I stumbled away from her and broke into a run.

The people around stopped to face me.

They were all the same. The woman wore the same dresses, same hairstyle, same skin color, and no face. The men all in the same velvet suit, same hair and skin. No face.

They were gathering around me now.

I halted. There was nowhere to run anymore.

I pressed my back to the wall. The figures made a perfect half circle.

Blood pounded in my ears. I felt as if my heart was about to break out of my chest. I couldn't catch my breath.

How is this possible.

Just then all the figures turned into black smoke. It all gathered in a spot only a few feet from me. Forming into a person, Jaime.

I sunk to the floor. My whole body trembled uncontrollably.

"So, you finally figured it out, huh?" He grinned wickedly at me. His tone was one of someone who just played a prank.

"Who are you? What is this place?" I choked out.

"Oh dear oh dear," he sighed as he came over to me and crouched. He placed one finger under my chin and lifting it up. "We've already been through this bit." He pouted. "That's boring, come up with something... Original".

When I didn't answer, he rolled his eyes and stood up.

"Fine, have it your way." His voice agitated.

He snapped his fingers. Black smoke wound itself around us, Then slowly disappeared. leaving us in the very same room i had appeared in when I first arrived.

We were standing in the middle of a half circle of fire.

The fire from the fireplace twisted and rose until it was large and rectangular. The fire disappeared to reveal a mirror.

Jaime ran a finger across its smooth wooden frame. Then turned to me.

"Do you at least have a guess to who I am?" He complained.

I crossed my arms.

I had enough of these shenanigans. From this point forward I decided to let my fear go. It only gave him satisfaction.

"Awe Look at Heart trying to be brave." He said smugly. He began walking circles around me. "Very poor move on you're part. For you see I am something you can not escape. I am what every single person fears most in the world."

"I am death," he whispered in my ear.

I inhaled sharply. My heart sped up.

No! Don't be afraid, it's what he wants.
