RING! RING!
I sat up with a jerk. Crap, I'm already running late on the first day of school.
I threw my covers off and ran to mg closet. Mom always says 'look the part', so this is the perfect time to wear the dress I just got. It was high collared and flowey at the bottom. I shrugged it on and jumped down into my vanity chair. Spinning to face the mirror, I pull my long hazelnut hair into a tight ballet bun. I swipe on some lip gloss and a little mascara and look for my flats. No where to be found. Hopefully they will be by the door.
On my way out, I looked at my Batman poster and smiled. Forever a fan girl in disguise. That's me. Katherine. Soon to be valedictorian, point guard on varsity basketball and superhero fanatic. Just no one knows about the last part.
I ran downstairs to get my flats. Surprise, surprise they weren't where I left them. Cooper had them.
"Just because you don't want me to leave doesn't mean you have to chew my shoes" I tell him.
He just looks up at me and I shrug. Now I have to find some other shoes - my combat boots. Saying bye to my family I rush out the door hiking my bag onto my shoulder and grab my keys.
Here goes to an interesting day.
