My gold star!!!

Orchid's point of view

I glared at the result as I cursed the world under my breath. I felt like crumpling up the test and setting it on fire.

I turned around and glared at the person who dared to speak to me while I was venting.

" What's wrong Orchid? " he asked grinning at me.
I raised an eyebrow and debated whether I should tell him.

I decided to, he wouldn't dare spread it. As I was telling him I realized that his eyes kept darting to the right.
I snapped my head around immediately.
I saw those three. They looked shocked that I saw them.
They smiled widely as they tried to escape.
I literally super jumped infront of them and they all screamed pushing each other forward.

I shoved my test in their faces.
" Guys!! Look at this!!! "

They all reached for it and stared at it for a while before starting to clap.
" 98 percent again Orchid!! That's great! "

I stared at them then started waving my hands around in frustration.

" Exactly!!! Always 98 percent!!!? it's ridiculous!! " I shouted and the teacher gave me a surprised look as she entered.

" Come on Orchid at least you'll get another gold star for getting the highest score again! "
I wonder if they thought that I actually cared about that.

The teacher collected all the tests again then clapped her hands together silencing the class.

She pulled out the gold star of the week.
" I'm really very impressed and I would like to present this to.. "
Everyone looked at me.

" Nikko Trails! "
Whaaat!? I must've heard her wrong I stared in disbelief as she stuck a ' silver ' star infront of my name.

I noticed that everyone was gathering around someone.

I pushed my way to the front to see a boy with dark hair and blue green eyes looking very unaffected by everyone's praise.

He suddenly looked at me and I glared at him. His face flushed and he frowned slightly as I made my way back to my desk.

" Who the hell is that? " I asked still glaring at the silver star.

" Jeez Orchid, that's Nikko Trails.
He's the school's star athlete! "

Athlete!? I was shown up by an athlete!! How disgraceful!!!

I snatched the pile of tests off the teacher's table and frowned at his paper.
99 percent...
I threw the paper on the ground preparing to crush it but of course his stupid test was saved!

I slumped on my chair and repeatedly stabbed my eraser with my pen.

I turned sideways and after a few minutes I realized that someone was staring at me.
It was him!! The gold star stealer.
He blinked rapidly his face flushing again as he looked away hurriedly.

I wondered why he kept doing that. Well obviously I had a theory but it seemed so impossible.

He glanced at me once more and I raised an eyebrow. He looked alarmed he literally ran out the door.

" I want my gold star back... " I mumbled before following him.

I was surprised to see him make his way to the back entrance.

I could see a few people on the other side of the fence but he turned going into a corridor.

I quickened my pace in case I lost him and stopped as he seemed to have disappeared.

I almost died of shock as someone grabbed me from behind.

I spun around and saw him I backed away as I didn't like his expression. It was kinda haunting.

I ran out of corridor as he moved closer.
" Why are you following me? " he asked and I struggled to think up an excuse.

" Um..I.. I always follow you " I said sounding really creepy.
" What?.. " he asked looking alarmed..
" Um..y..yeah thing is I really... Um... " what do I say now??

" I that is I really um...like you??"
I said sounding unconvincing. "ye..yeah that's it I always have.. You just never noticed...? "

That was such a lie I knew he'd see right through me.

His eyes widened and he stared at me and the same flush appeared on his face.

Wait... Don't tell me he actually bought it!?

He laced his hands together then looked at me then at the ground.

" I..like you too... " he said still looking at the ground.

I was just about to say ' well I'm sure the ground must be flattered ' then I realized he was serious and that unfortunately he wasn't talking to the ground....
He was talking to me!

My mouth fell open and I stared at him unsure what to do..

I have no idea what these dagger looking thingies are!! They just look cool!
